Super Lion

When I first saw this Super Lion game from Playtech, it made me wonder what kind of game it was, but after glancing through its paytable, then it became apparent that this Super Lion is just one more clone of NetEnt’s extremely popular Starburst game. Maybe Playtech should title it as Lionburst instead, hehehe.

What I like about Super Lion is that the play lines are still selectable, unlike other games which now play with fixed lines instead. I like to play with as few lines as possible, until the time comes when my instincts would urge me to play with more or all lines. I enjoy playing this way as it saves me some money during the dry runs and dead spins. Yeah, right, it also meant occasionally missing out on some good wins too, but that’s the risks involved
by playing this way.

The Super Lion is the Wild symbol, appearing only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and expands into a full Wild reel with any winning combination. The Wild symbols themselves do not have any win value, so all wins would depend on the substituted symbols. Generally speaking, all symbols have very low win values, so that says a lot about the winning potentials of this game.

Where big wins and payouts are concerned, big-win hunters would not like this game very much, simply because it doesn’t have any huge win potential. With just 10 lines in play, and the top paying symbol having such a low win value, big wins in amount can only be achieved by playing with big bets, which could also mean losing big money during the bad times. Nonetheless, it’s still an interesting game to play, with quite frequent decent wins along the way. By decent wins, I mean wins of around 50x the stake amount, but most wins aren’t. Wins of more than 100x are of course possible, but these come quite rarely. My best win so far has yet to breach the 100x mark, but I’ve done better on Starburst on many occasions. Maybe this Super Lion somehow doesn’t know how to throw hard punches, or I simply haven’t been hit by one as yet, hahaha.
