Shogun’s Secret is yet one more ala book game by Gamomat, and that is no secret. Shogun’s secret lies in another aspect of the game, but that too isn’t really a secret, because it has been revealed before in some other games. So why call this game Shogun’s Secret? Most probably it is meant for the unknowing players, who aren’t aware of the hidden secret feature in this game, or probably even because there’s already way too many ‘Book Of’ game titles, even in Gamomat’s list of games.

As a clone of a ‘Book’ game, everyone should already be very familiar with how the game would play and pay, and what the maximum possible single win would be. However, there are secrets within this game that every player should know about. Firstly, the maximum possible win is not the usual or expected 5000x win, simply because the highest paying symbol only pays 50x the bet amount, and if won on all 10 lines, that would only be a 500x win! Now that is indeed one big secret just revealed to you now, hehehe.

The other secret lies in the upgrading of symbols during the free spins play, but this is not anything new at all. It can be found in several other similar games, even by other providers, and is supposed to give additional and bigger wins. Sometimes it works, most times it won’t, but that’s only to be expected. During the free spins play, even if you managed to upgrade all the lower symbols into the highest paying symbol, the best single win can only be 500x. So, is it possible to get this kind of win in the remaining free spins? I really doubt that, although it is not impossible.

Getting 3 or more of the Temple Scatter symbols would award 12 free spins with no win multiplier, and getting 1, 2 or 3 of the Scroll Wild symbols during the play would add 1, 3 or 12 more free spins. The Scroll Wild symbol is a non-paying Expanding symbol, expanding into a full Wild Reel during both base game and free spins play, but it is not one of the bonus scattering symbol, so getting all 15 Wild symbols on the reels in a no-no. That’s the third secret in this game. Usually it’s the Scatter symbol that would award additional free spins, not the Wild symbol.

Having said all that, you can now see that there are actually 3 hidden secrets in this game, but none could actually give nice big wins, simply due to the low win values of all the symbols. I guess Gamomat intended to make this game a medium volatility variant of a ‘Book’ game, but after playing it, I simply cannot enjoy playing it!
