Hm, I am not sure wether it good or not being brutally honest, but I am close to that. Before I come across this video slot, I never knew what serenity means nor I come across this term. Serenity (the state or quality of being serene, calm, or tranquil; sereneness) and I am kind of oppsite. Now, knowing its meaning I can relate calming background sound with seranity. I like graphics and theme and Microgaming made game in my taste.

I had quite a number of small wins during my last session and many 5-of-a-kind combinations too, which gave me wins between 2 and 5 Euros on my 0.30 cents bets. I was expecting much more out of Serenity...some incredible moves...some wild novel things to happen...or whatever...but none of these came by. Maybe later, I don't know. Serenity within me was quickly evolving into swirling strong winds...not a good sign at all!

The Bonus Game requires you to pick out 3, 4 or 5 lanterns from a selection, depending on the number of Bonus symbols that you had won in the base game. This has been a busy month for Microgaming software and they released many new games, Serenity was one of them. I had seen a promotional video for this game and I have to say at first I wasn't really intrigued about this game because it didn't seem unique or fresh. But being a fan for Microgaming, I decided to try it.

Serenity is an Asian themed slot with 5 reels and 15 paylines. Although the symbols for the game are usual- lanterns and letters, I think the design for this game is good because the slot has a background which looks like a peaceful landscape. Minimum bets are 15 cents per spin and I've played this game a few times now and those are the bets I stick with.

This game has quite regular features- free spins, triggered by scatters, wild symbols that substitute all symbols, except scatter and bonus, and a bonus round. At first I was quite interested in the bonus round, but after getting it a few times, I think it's hard to get decent win there. Since this bonus is triggered when 3 or more bonus symbols land on an active payline, it can take some time to get this bonus, once it took me over 200 spins to get it, but after that they came more often. But the more symbols you get, the higher win. If you get 5 symbols, winnings are up to 500x bet which is incredible for a pick me bonus, but from my experience, it's really hard to get more than 3 symbols. Few times I got 4 bonus symbols, so I had to make 4 picks, but still my biggest win on this feature has been 20x bet.

Another thing I noticed and disliked was the paylines. I am not really a fan for 15 payline games, but when I played this game the paylines seemed unusual, many times I felt like there should have been a win, while there wasn't a payline. But that being said, I think this game has decent winning potential. For 3 or more scatters you get 10 free spins 3x multiplied. From my experience it isn't too easy to trigger them, once I had over 500 spins without any free spins feature, but when I did, it gave me close to 100x bet winnings.

Overall I think this is a decent release from Microgaming, design is pleasant, also I like that it can be played with such small bets. I also haven't lost a lot with it, because it gives frequent winnings, but at the same time it's really hard to get winnings over 20x bet on base game, I haven't experienced higher winnings there, while on free spins I think there's a good winning possibility. This won't become a game I play regularly, but I recommend to give it a try.

I do not think I will play this game again in near future. The main reason is because the pay out were small. I never got any decent or big win during base game and also bonus game is quite bad. I think this game could be a lot more better than it is now. I expected more from it and free spins feature disappointed me. 150 spins without any feature is bad and I do not like this.

I will rate this game with 5 stars. I am sure it is bad video slot for me and I do not like it. I will not play it again in future, there are many better games than this one.
