h Wilde and the Amulet of the dead is powered by Play'n Go. Not sure how many different versions of this Book of original release Book of Dead. Every time it has some different added to it, however, it seems to be the game just become more and more volatile, the paytable is weaker as you need the extra features to enable the similar gameplay to the original.
I think Play'n Go is destroying the images of the Book of Dead original, which is extremely popular with all these other releases, as it just gets worse. I tried this slot and I do not like it much although I had a decent base game hit once.
The symbols remain the same with royals with premiums as ancients gods/artifacts and Rich Wilde himself as the most lucrative symbol. However, the paytable downgraded significantly to be honest, as getting 3 of kind 10 which used to paid half of your bet, now pays a 5th of your bet.
There are now wild stacked that build up a multiplier. If you land 1 wild, then your win is multiplied x2, if you manage to get 3 stacked wilds, an x5 multiplier will be applied to the win.
Landing 3 scatters will enter the free spins feature, which works the same as all the Book with Rich Wilde slots, with a special expanding extra scatter symbol. You will start with 10 free spins and additional re-triggers are available. If you have 2 lower value symbols together with a stacked wild, you will then have a multiplier applied to that win. SO basically the stacked wild act as a symbol, however just a multiplier.
I got fed up with this slot given bonus is extremely hard to trigger, to be honest. I cannot wait for multipliers to create big wins on this release. I like multipliers do not get me wrong, but not on these books of type of slots. I had a good high symbol 5OAK with multipliers, which resulted in almost 100x win, imagine in the original, it was supposed to be a 200x win.
Seems that Rich Wilde, never gives up the exploration for Gold... So, the Play 'n Go developer continues the Ancient quest, on this new release upon 5 Reels/10 Paylines/Thoth Multipliers/Expanding Symbols/Enhanced Visuals/High Variance.
This slot comes with 'Thoth Wilds' which is the main difference in the 'Rich Wilde' series. Whenever, a 'Thoth Wild' lands on reels 2/3/4 afterwards he will rise up, with a multiplier equal to the number of stacked 'Thoth Wilds' in view, rewarding from 2x, 3x, 5x Respectively.
In my opinion, yes it has the Μultipliers which were missing from the 'Βook Of Dead' despite the lowering the Paytable. However, this new Rich Wilde adventure, will enthrill the Book themed enthusiasts, with all this Wild mayhem on those Ancient Egyptian reels, under the supervision of Thoth, the god of Wisdom and Judgement.
'The true student will read between the lines and gain wisdom. If the light is in You the light which is engraved in these tablets will respond'
-Excerpt from Book Of Thoth.

Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead is a 5 reel and 10 payline slot from Play'n Go game provider. The game was released quite some time ago and is yet another Ancient Egypt themed slot featuring the most popular characters from the play'n Go original Book of Dead slot. I have to say, when the game came out, I wasn't really excited about this release. Due to the simple reason of it being yet another Riche Wilde series slot. In my opinion, Play'n Go has released so many slots that follow the Rich Wilde storyline that it feels like there's no need for another game with Rich Wilde. But as a fan of Play'n Go, I decided to give it a try.
When it comes to the game itself, the graphics are beautiful as always, but definitely not original. All of the game symbols are taken from the original Book of Dead slot, including the Rich Wilde himself and other high paying symbols, as well as low paying ones. The only thing they've changed are the scatter symbols and the fact that there's stacked wilds, which is probably the only interesting thing about this game. But one thing that certainly disappointed me was the fact that the payouts are much lower than in Book of Dead. For example, 3oak of low paying symbols- Queens- pay 0.01 cents while the same combination in Book of Dead would pay 0.05 cents.
As I mentioned, the only fun thing this game offers are the stacked wilds that can land on reels 2, 3 and 4. If a stacked wild lands on reel 2, the win will have a 2x multiplier, while stacked wilds on reels 3 and 4 award with 3x and 5x multipliers respectively. So the only time you can land a good win is if you have wilds on all middle reels combined with premium symbols.
Then there's also a free spins bonus round, which is triggered by 3 scatter symbols. Then you get the typical book bonus round- one of the symbols is picked to be the special expanding symbol. The good thing is that in the bonus round, if you land a stacked wild, it will work as a special expanding symbol, which makes it easier to get winning combinations. However, in my experience with the game, the stacked wilds don't appear too often in the bonus round and the payouts are still rather low. Only once I've had a win above 100x bet, and for the most part the bonus returns 30x-60x your bet.
Overall, I can't say I'm a fan of this game. Graphics, as always, are beautiful, but I feel like the payouts are quite low, hence it's difficult to get any good wins. And while I do like the stacked wilds, I think that the game lacks originality and it's just another Rich Wilde slot- and definitely not the best of them.
