The older first version of Ramses Book played with only 5 lines, similar to Ancient Magic (which is still playing with only 5 lines), another Book game from Gamomat, but this newer version of Ramses Book now plays with either 5 or 10 lines, selectable as preferred. The starting bet is therefore either 5 or 10 cents, but everything else in the game remains the same, including the win values of all the symbols, and the maximum possible single win of 5000x the bet.

As usual, the Book is the Wild and the Scatter symbol, paying 200x for getting any 5 of them, the Pharaoh is the top paying symbol at 500x, whilst the other symbols pay from 200x down to 10x. Getting 3, 4 or 5 Book symbols would award 10 free spins, but getting 3 or more Book symbols during the free spins would not award a retrigger of 10 more free spins. Instead, getting 3 or more of the Bonus Scattering symbol would do so, a completely different concept from the normal Book game.

Some other games would also award one more new Bonus Scattering symbol, plus the extra free spins with each retrigger, but not in Ramses Book. In PlaynGo’s game of Legacy Of Dead, for example, all the nine regular symbols could turn into the Bonus symbol progressively, thereby greatly increasing the chances of getting more wins from each free spin, and a much bigger final payout from the free spins feature game.

If only Ramses Book has this feature, it would greatly increase its winning potentials, and probably become an even greater hit with players.

From my few playing attempts on Ramses Book, I couldn’t even get a good game from it, reminding me of my similar bad experiences on many other Book games from various other providers. Getting the 3 Book symbols seem to be a very tedious task indeed, especially when the game is in its bad mood, but unfortunately for me, I have not even encountered any of its good mood either.

Unlike with Ancient Magic, I have gotten a few very good wins of 500x and more from that game, so my preference is still for Ancient Magic than for Ramses Book.

Ramses book is an Egyptian theme slot based on the Book of Ra, Book of dead and the likes. It's basically a clone. It's a 5 reel, 5 payline slot from Bally Wulff that comes with a bonus feature that offers unlimited re-triggers, complete with a special expanding symbol. One of the first slots with 5 paylines in the Book of series of slots, where you get special scatter symbol during free spins. You can spin this slot with a minimum bet of just $0.05 and have the potential to win something and make a withdrawal.

The game has 4 playing card suits which are the lower paying symbol as well as a selection of objects more traditionally associated with the Egyptian artifacts. You will find a flower, the falcon headed Horus, the black Bastet cat, an obelisk filled with inscriptions and Pharaoh himself. The Pharaoh is the most valuable symbol, awarding 2,500 times your total bet if you manage to land 5 on a payline. All the high paying symbol you just need 2 on a payline to get a winning combination where lower value symbols you need 3 of a kind on a pay line.

The Book is the game's wild, substituting for all other symbols as well as the triggering scatter symbol to activate the free spins feature. Landing 3 books anywhere on the reels award the free spins bonus. Landing 4 or more books does not increase the spins but rather increase the scatter payout as 5 books will award you x200.

Before the free spins start, 1 symbol will be chosen at random to become the special expanding symbol. If you land the scatter symbol anywhere on the reels, it does not need to be on a payline, it expands to cover the entire reel and award a payout. The feature can be retriggered with the same expanding symbol, however as of lately, most book of games now are re-designed and if you re-trigger the bonus game, a different symbol is awarded.

I once had a full line of all the cats, making it close to x1000 win and that was my biggest.

This slot is medium to high variance and I would consider I was always in profit of this slot until they decided to make a 10 line version of this slot and it just suddenly played differently. Very difficult to trigger the bonus game these days, but I guess that the new thing with all providers as off lately.

Ramses Book is one of my latest explorations from Merkur software. Before that I was familiar with a few other games of theirs, and I really liked them. This is a game that has interesting theme, it looks historical and almost Egyptian inspired. The symbols are simplistic and all I can say is that the design was pleasant.

Technically this game has 5 reels and 5 paylines, so you can bet as little as 5 cents per spin. The reason why I wanted to try this slot specifically was because a fellow askgamblers member had posted some impressive screenshots from it, and it always works as a good advertisement.

I started to play this slot at Mr Ringo casino with 60€ balance. I was playing with 0.25€ bets but I like that you can bet less than that. The ramses books are the most important symbols in this game as they work as scatters and also as wild symbols. I managed to get plenty of free spin bonus rounds in my session. What is exciting is the fact that you get 10 free spins and one of the game's symbols will be chosen before the free games and will become stacked, when 3 or more appear. With that it's possible to achieve really nice wins, and also due to fact that free spins can be retriggered. In my session I managed to retrigger the spins once and I ended up with a 80x bet win. But also this game can be a money eater. At some point it became dry and instead of switching to another slot, I kept playing this one, hoping for a bonus feature, but it didn't happen and eventually I lost all my balance.

In my opinion, Merkur games definitely stand out from other software slots, I find them more simplistic yet unique. I think that the game has a great winning potential and I will definitely continue playing it.

There is a collection of slots created by “Gamomat” and Bally Wulff sharing certain basic characteristics such as a simple design, few lines (5 or 10,) and especially the feature Free Spins + Bonus Symbol, which consists of 10 free games where any regular symbol may become a special symbol before the start of the spins, this happens at random and the symbol is chosen on any of the pages of the book that appears before you start with the free spins.

Precisely, “Ramses Book” is one of the slots belonging to this same series and in this case, the number of paylines is 10 and its theme is based on that period of ancient Egypt when Ramses was the pharaoh.

In this game the scatter with the image of book not only serves to trigger the free games round but additionally acts as a wild symbol replacing all other regular symbols; however, in my opinion, this symbol does not perform their work as efficiently here as in other sister slots, since it contributes little to the formation of regular lines and on the other hand, I think the special feature of this game is not triggered often enough to make this a really exciting slot.

By the way, if you do the math, you'll see the paytable of “Ramses Book” is not exactly generous, and talking about that, in this slot the free spins have not been so nice because during my only free round today, my special symbol it was the symbol of pink diamond, one of the lowest paid symbols in the game, and during 10 spins I could only form “one” line of 3 of a kind with this symbol, that by the way, it expands throughout its entire reel during free games, and it is assumed that this symbol is intended to appear frequently precisely because of its low price. My winnings during this round were miserable, and once the round was over, these symbols of pink diamonds continued appearing fluently.

Honestly, I do not feel at all satisfied with this video slot, earnings during the base game are pretty poor, and during free spins, this game has proved to be rather stingy.

In other words, there is nothing in “Ramses Book” designed to retain any player; obviously this is my opinion, but if you do a tour through websites and forums where this video slot has been already rated, you will see that the general feeling about it, it does not differ much from mine.
