Miss Fortune

This Miss Fortune game from Playtech is all about a pretty young witch, a modern day witch if I may say, living in a nice big house, with her pet frog, owl and a cute little baby dragon. It’s a playful little dragon who likes to sleep most of the time but goes into hiding once in a while. That’s when Miss Fortune needs your assistance in finding that naughty little dragon.

This is a 25 fixed lines game, has a minimum starting bet of 25 cents, and offers 4 separate features. The first one is the Crystal Ball Respin. Whenever a Wild Crystal Ball symbol appears on the reels without creating any win, it is collected into a counter at the top of the play screen. Collecting 3 would trigger a Respin feature game whereby the 3 Wild Crystal Balls would randomly take position on the reels for one free respin. Unfortunately, it is not a sure-win respin, but it pays most of the time.

The second one is the Magical Collection feature, whereby landing 2 Scatter symbols on reels 1 to 4, without getting the third Scatter symbol, would collect 1 free spin into the collection meter. There is no limit as to how many free spins can be collected this way, but I’ve never seen it go beyond 15. This collected number would then be added to the 7 free spins awarded upon triggering the Free Spins feature game.

The third one is the Free Spins game itself, whereby landing 3 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels would award 7 free spins, plus the collected free spins in the meter, and with an increasing multiplier for each non-winning free spin. It starts with a x2 multiplier and goes up to x10. No retriggering of the free spins is possible, so that sucks a bit.

The final one is the Teacher’s Pet Bonus game, awarded when you land that Baby Dragon symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5. 10 picks are given to find where that naughty dragon is hiding, with each successful find increasing the winning prize. Whenever you pick one empty locker, Miss Fortune would open one or more lockers to help you find that dragon. This is quite an interesting feature game and pays not too badly too. I’ve gotten 50x to 100x wins from this bonus game itself.

All in all, Miss Fortune is a playable game, but it lacks the punch that big-win hunters want. The paytable is on the average side – 5 Wilds paying 200x, 5 Scatters paying 100x, and 5 Miss Fortune paying only 20x the stake amount. More free spins cannot be retriggered and the maximum multiplier is only x10. The Wild Crystal Ball doesn’t double any wins either, which could have made wins bigger and more interesting. All in all, quite a fun game to play, if you don’t mind the frequent mediocre wins.
