Magic Idol is another video slot game coming from Amatic. If I was writing this review last week I would have said it’s a great game from Amatic but after my last two sessions I have a hate hate relationship with this game. Anyway this is a 10 pay line slot with 5 reels and 3 rows. The theme is from the jungle and you can expect low level graphics on the screen.

Now the reason why I play this game often is because you can get decent payouts during base play and in the bonus round. All of the symbols in the game except the scatter and the Palm Three come stacked on the reels. The Palm Three is the highest paying symbol in the game and 5 of them on a pay line award a 500 x total bet win. The scatter symbol is the golden mask and there is no wild symbol, which in my opinion is desperately needed. But it is what it is. I have managed to land 5 Palm Threes during base play but never in the bonus round. The bonus round is a free spins bonus triggered by 3 or more scatters in the reels. The player will get 15 free spins with all wins tripled and the free spins can be re-triggered. When he’s in a good mood Magic Idol is a great game to play. You can wager a lot of money without dropping in balance because of the frequent wins and usually a bonus round with a re-trigger will payout at least 300 x total bet or more.

But once he gets in a bad grumpy mood you better quit on time. In my last two sessions I’ve lost over 700 euros playing this game on a 2 euros bet. I didn’t manage to trigger a bonus round and he cost me two hefty withdrawals.
