This Life of Riches game has only just been released by Microgaming recently, but I had the opportunity to try it out, first with some free spins, then with a small deposit and a bonus. Usually, I wouldn't really be bothered to try out any new Microgaming game or games, but I guess those free spins stirred my interest a little bit, got me to look deeper into the game's paytable, found it quite reasonable, and finally decided to give a real try. Perhaps the game Lost Vegas, even though its overall performance was still way below my expectations, showed some interesting aspects and possibilities, then Tarzan came along with similar interesting aspects too, so I figured this Life of Riches may well be about the same, making it worth at least one try.
There isn't anything new in this new game. Sadly to say, it plays similarly with many other Microgaming games, sharing the same basic design and game concept, only the icons are different, and of course, the payouts too. Life of Riches play with 30 paylines, with standard quality graphics, nothing astounding or differently nice, which doesn't really make it look like it's a new game! Possibly a 'quickie' this one! Hahaha. The logo is the Wild symbol, paying 133.3x the total bet for getting 5 of them. It doubles all wins with it, it substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter symbol, and is stacked during the free spins but not in the base game. What a shame! The Plane is the Scatter symbol, paying a better 200x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of these Planes trigger 10 free spins with all wins doubled, and can be retriggered too. Well, 10 free spins with just a 2x multiplier is not enough. It is only half of what it should be.
The Lady in the bareback red dress, the one wearing a necklace, is the highest paying normal symbol, and is stacked in the base game and in the Free Spins game too. 5 of her pays 33.3x the total bet amount. The other Ladies pay from 26.6x to 6.6x the total bet, and the lower symbols pay from 3.3x to 1x the total bet, all for 5 of each kind. An average paytable, typically of other similar playing games too.
Well, what can I say differently from what I haven't said before? The game is yet another clone, it plays similarly as many other games, the payouts are as expected, either low most of the times, or fairly good at the right times. In my recent play, I got a retrigger in one of the 3 Free Spins games that I managed to get, which is actually a rarity for me, but the final payout was just short of breaking the 100x bet win mark. I had one game that paid a very low 8x my bet amount, but the next Free Spins game paid a nice 65x win, making it all more pleasant for me, despite not winning anything in the end. I can only hope that future Microgaming games would get better and better.
