Katana is a high variance video slot from Novomatic. I have tried this slot only once. I had only 20 euros on my balance and even though I knew that this slot will not pay anything in the base game I decided to play it and ignore the facts. The highest win in the shortest session in history was only 2 x bet. I think it is needless to say that I played on min bet. I had couple of wins only with 3 symbols, and the lowest paying once too.

This is a 5 reels and 20 pay lines video sot game. I thought that I can trigger the free spins very fast but that did not happen. Being a high variance slot this game can pay huge. On my last spin I won 0.10 cents so I could not have one more spin on all lines so I thought I can do something with the gamble feature and I lost that big money too. That was my last desperate move.

The highest paying symbol is the shogun symbol. If you manage to land 5 of those symbols on an active pay line you can win 5000 coins. After this one is the geisha which is very lucrative symbol too. Landing 5 symbols on an active pay line can bring you 4000 coins.

Katana is slot game made by Novomatic. It is their old game, and it was very good and one of my favorite games in begin of my gambling story. But after some time passed, I discovered other games, so now I am not playing it so often as I did in past.

I payouts. There is indeed very good payouts in this slot game. There is 20 paylines, and 5 of a kind pay of course less than in most other famous Novomatic games, but still better than many games from other developers. And for sure typically for Novomatic 5 wilds will pay huge, but I think it is quite hard to get it, I never had even 3 wilds on paylines.

I like freespins feature. It is triggered when 3 or more scatters appear anywhere. You then get 10 very special freespins. During freespins wilds will be stacked on all reels, and appear very often.

I played this game many times at Stargames casino. And my best feature paid me about 250 bets, but it is far away from my dream hit, which of course all reels with stacked wilds. Usually stacked wilds land on last reels, and did not provide solid win, so you should hope that wilds will appear on first reels, and probably good symbols on last reels. Also couple of times I had features more than 50 bets. Actually I think it is very hard to get payout less than 30 bets in feature at Katana slot, and this is why I love it. If you get freespins feature - you will get at least something, not like get freespins and win couple of bets.
