Hexaline

This slot “Hexaline” brought me a big smile this morning. As simple as it is, as beautiful and exciting is. The idea of the slot is quite unique and so far I have met only two other slots that resemble in a few ways with this one (“Midas Millions” from AshGaming and “Tesla” from NetEnt).

Being only 50% a slot, this game starts with a grid of hexagons one next to the other (5 columns of hexagons arranged in a matrix of 4x3x4x3x4 lines). In this grid there are falling hexagons from above and while some of them are going through the grid, some others are kept. The hexagons have 5 different colors, and there is also a Wild. When hexagons of the same color make a complete combination from left to right (the combination can take any pattern), it offers a payout, the combination disappears and from above fall in place other hexagons. Because the “slot” is very generous with the Wilds (there are even 6-8 simultaneous Wilds) it is very easy to have a winning combination.

At a bet of 10 cents, I played about 30 minutes with just one Euro! You win at each successful combination from 5 cents up to 15-25 cents, depending on how many hexagons are connected and which color they are. So if you have 2 Euro left, my hunch is that you can keep playing here for hours. With a slightly larger bet, a wagering of 30x-35x (specific for Microgaming) can be easily met here. The slot catches you, each combination has a different shape and the much different colored grid is very nice.

A few of the colored symbols have on top them also the text “Bonus”. When there are 3 “bonuses” on reels, one enters a round where from each column the player turns one symbol. If the symbol is a right arrow to the right the game is advancing a step, for a left arrow the game goes back one step and an “X” stops the selection. Each choice offers a payout and if one arrives at the last column the win is 40x bet.

The slot is attractive and pleasant and like I said, it brings a particular a smile to all players who tried it. Although it is very simple, I consider that it deserves a near maximum rating.
