Funky Monkey slot machine from Playtech (not to be confused with an RTG game under the same name) follows the visual footsteps of the classic machine series of that developer and I must say I’m not a big fan of it. Generally, I don’t like when the useful visible are reduced and anyway I think the games in this category are too one-dimensional at Playtech, but somehow I like Funky Monkey. Even though it looks like every other traditional slots here but for me it still offers some things that looks great. I like here the little funny and fresh environment, the increased size of the symbols and though the interface is very colorful but it well-designed and gives a comprehensive captivating look. The graphics of the symbols are decent and somehow they reflect some kind of cool feelings as they illustrate sunglasses, bananas, conga drums. Overall, I think this product is from the better ones and at least it has own characteristic and exhales some pleasantry.

The slot has 3-reels, 1-payline where we can play with bets from as little as €0.01 up to €5 per spin but has a little freedom to vary stakes with using 1, 2 or 3 coins. The slot has very simple game functions and we get really just the base things here so if someone wants to have bonus, Wild, multiplier from a small game like this, well, it won’t be the proper target. The Jackpot of the game is 2500 times of used coin denomination if the maximum number of credits were placed so it’s not a life-changing machine but so far it proved me to be a relatively reliable gambling partner as it seems to have a fair game settings and acts as a correct working product. What I miss here is the symbol that pays (or at least returns the stake) by own so a winning with the less paying combination (Bars) is worth an x 10 - x 30 of coin value which is way bigger than at most of the other machines.

With the other thing that can be better, I must return to the Jackpot amount because it we take a look at the paytable we can see that if we double or triple the stake the won amount will be doubled or tripled as it normally should be but most of the games has the ability- to incite the players to play with higher stakes, - to offer higher grand prize than the doubled, tripled amount what can be won with using just one or two coins, but at this game it just barely reach that limit as the top line win is worth 800 or 1600 or 2500 coins so the creators wasn’t too generous when set the top limit. It would look better if it reaches the 3000 plateau and I think the 3200 would have been the optimal amount.

Honestly, there’s not much left that being said about this slot and I also can’t tell about any real remarkable sessions or series of lucky spins because I haven’t got any like that but maybe I doubt this slot ever would give it to me but despite of this I still enjoy playing with this cheerful little slot and I like the atmosphere it creates and the ability to entertain me. I really hope I’m wrong and sometime in the future it will chase away my skepticism and present some nice cash prizes and if it ever happens I promise my first thing I will do is to report here and take back all the incredulous words.
