Giving the player a choice like this is the right move in my opinion and even though you pick 25 lines the min bet stays at only 0.10 per spin.

The lookout tower is the scatter symbol here and you will need at least 3 of them to trigger this feature which awards 10, 15 or 20 free spins depending on how many scatters you get, I have always said I liked slots that give more spins for triggering a feature with 4 or more scatters and this is the case here. You get 20x for 5 scatters which is on the low side but at least it pays for scatters too. Another great thing about this slot is the free spins can be re-triggered.

I gave this military slot a first go with a number of spins but it wasn’t being generous in giving me the free spins feature but teased a few times along the way, it spat out some base wins at least.

The music and sound effects are so suitable where you get the drums and trumpets which is connected to military and every win spin has sound effects including the loudest of all being the scatters.

There are no bonus buys with this slot as most Gamomats lack this feature which would skin the base game grind but sometimes you feel like it would be a useful option to have to get right into the free spins features if they were priced fairly. I normally would not play any game that plays with 50 lines or more, preferring to stick to the good old standard 9 to 25 lines games, but occasionally on 243 lines games as well. If it starts at 50 cents per spin, I definitely would not play it! Usually, a 5 reels 4 rows game would have more than 500 paylines, up to 1096 or more paylines at times, thereby providing sufficient chances of getting wins with each spin, even though the win might be a very small and insignificant one. In Fort Brave case, 50 lines is rather restrictive in providing sufficient winning chances, the way I see it, so a player can expect to get many more non-paying spins than the usual.

Where paytable is concerned, the win values of Fort Brave symbols are quite acceptable, although not that good, but most games do not have good paytables nowadays anyway. The Flags, the Wild symbol, is non-paying, sadly enough, but it carries a win multiplier of x2 or x3 during the free spins play, to slightly boost up any wins. The Tower, the Scatter symbol, pays only 20x for a 5-of-a-kind win, which is very low indeed, but the Soldier, the top symbol, pays a decent 100x. Other symbols pay from 20x downwards, which are also on the low side.

Not stated, but usually it won’t be many, possibly up to 5 retriggers I would think. Nonetheless, getting one retrigger is, and was, hard enough for me! The Flags Wild symbol doesn’t appear too often, unfortunately, so most payouts from the free spins would not be that good, hardly ever giving any 100x or higher wins, as I’ve found out so far. My best win is only 78x, achieved from my most recent play on Fort Brave, so the game doesn’t really catch my keenness to keep on playing, or even to play it on a regular basis.

The gameplay is nice and you win often, to be honest. Scatters are insanely visible and you will often get 2 scatters on the reels all the time. It's landing that 3rd scatter that is the problem to trigger the free spins. When the game is in the mood, you will trigger free spins quickly, but payouts are very poor.

Landing 3 scatters will award 10 free spins. During free spins, you will find more soldier stacked symbols and extra wild symbols are added to the reels for bigger multipliers. The nice thing is, even if wild is not connecting in a combination, the multiplier still applies to your win if it’s a normal 3 or 4 of a kind symbol win. I am afraid to imagine if you manage to get 5 soldiers with wild multipliers, I guess you will break the bank.

I had a couple of x300 wins on this slot, but never significant 1000x hits. I had near misses a lot, but it's part of the rush, you know how these games are. Overall this is a great slot if want to built your balance slowly.
