Crazy Chameleons

Great winnings! I already had 3 big wins in this game. The first one, got $5000 for 5 chameleons for the $5 bet. Second, $6000 of 5 suns for $10 bet and my third winning, $10000 of 5 seagulls for $25 bet.

What I don’t like is that, it has no scatter features. Most of the other slots come with different features that give more excitement to players, unlike this game.

Doesn't it strike you odd that one crazy thing tends to beget another crazy thing? Look at Microgaming's list of games, for example. I could list a number of crazy things about those games, things like game themes that don't match their titles, titles that are rather silly, paytables that doesn't live up or pay up, retriggers that hardly ever happen, and so forth. Crazy Chameleon is one of them, following the game Crazy 80s, not only in its title but also in its game play.

Just look at the paytable. The Big Wave is the Wild symbol, with a surfboard in the foreground, without the surfer. Okay, so the surfer has fallen into the water, or that the surfer just won't fit into a chameleon themed game. Hmm, whatever. This true blue dumb Wild symbol only substitute for all other symbol and does nothing else. The Scatter symbol isn't a true blue dumb symbol like the Wild symbol, simply because there aren't any Scatters. Anyone expecting to get payouts from these 2 symbols are true blue you-know-what.

The Chameleon pays 5000x the line bet for 5 of them, the Sun pays 3000x, the Seagull pays 2000x, the Pants and the rest pay from 700x down to 100x the line bet for 5 of each kind. The game pays both ways, left-to-right and right-to-left. What about slanting ways? Well, Microgaming would be real crazy to leave those out! Otherwise, this Crazy Chameleons game would play with only 3 paylines! Are there any other features? Yes, there are many other features, but in other games, not in this one. You think Microgaming made a slip-up? You bet!

So, what is the best thing you like about this Crazy Chameleons game? You can get decent wins very quickly, but at the right time on the right day of course. Why is that? Well, 5 Chameleons would pay $250, or 5 Suns would pay $150, for just one $1.25 spin. What about the downside? You can lose a truck full of cash in a day!

If you think playing $1.25 bet per spin for a 5-paylines game is not crazy, you're crazy! About 15 years or so ago when this game was released, a $1.25 bet per spin at that time would be equivalent to about $10 bet per spin now. Would you play $10 a spin for a 5-paylines game? Hmm, I thought so. So that makes this Crazy Chameleons game doubly crazy!

Crazy Chameleons is a very old game run from the Microgaming software. I did not have any big wins while I played the game but I did not lose my money either which is very important too. The payouts can be really good for a 5 line game. I checked the payout before I start playing and I saw that it is possible to get x 1000 total bet win if you get 5 of the best paying symbols. I was not that lucky while I played the game but still you always hope for something great.

The graphic is nothing special and I do not get why the symbols are so big, it looks like the creator was having old people in mind when he designed this game. The main theme is focused around colorful chameleons and there is an amusing background music of crushing waves. What is interesting about this game is that this slot pays out when symbols both match from the left to right and vice versa. Some of the symbols include Bermuda shorts, sunshine, surfboards, seagulls and also some poker symbols starting from 10 through King. The minimum bet to play this game is 1,25 euros which is big in my opinion but is a perfect game if you have a big balance.

The surf wave is the wild in the Crazy Chameleons slot and it substitutes for all symbols. This feature is nothing special in my opinion because I really do not like games without Bonus Symbols and Scatters. There is nothing as thrilling as waiting for the third scatter to appear on the reels. For this reason I cannot say that this is an interesting game to play, but yet again, that is only my personal opinion. The only good thing with this game can be that it pays from left to right and from right to left and can increase your winnings.

Crazy Chameleons is a very old video slot game which I suppose it was created back in the 90s of the last century. Also Crazy Chameleons is one of the few Microgaming slot games with only 5 pay-lines.

I must say that there is a more modern version that not only has more pay-lines, but unlike to the old version offers some bonus feature. What my mother liked about this game is that the symbols are unusually large for a slot game. I guess all those who do not see well will like this. The graphics are good for one so old game and I love the sound of waves that can be heard in the background while you play.

This game does not offer anything of the features except the wild symbol that replaces all other symbols. This is of course a big minus for a video slot game. But as several other Microgaming slot games with 5 pay-lines here too all wins pay left to right and right to left. This, of course, increases your chances of wins.

My experience with this game is not great. In fact, I had only few spins in this game so far. However I often play the newer version of Crazy Chameleons slot game. The newer version is far more exciting than this. I wrote something in the beginning of this review about the differences (number of pay lines and features) between the two versions of this game. But, I didn’t mention that here the minimum bet per pay-lines is 0.05 euros while on the newer version is 0.02 euros. I have only left, as I usual do at the end of the review, to rate the game. This version of Crazy Chameleons unlike the version with 20 pay-lines in my opinion does not deserve a passing grade, and I give her 5 out of 10 possible stars. For the newer version I would give 8 stars.

Crazy Chameleons game. Opened it at 32red, just to play a bit like usually 100-150 spins, and check game, since i decided to try all slot games by Microgaming. Was quite surprised that there are only 5 lines, but was more surprised that min bet at this game is 1.25. Well, there is nothing to do, so I decide to make 100 spins, to check game, and then leave.

Game looks okay for old game. I am even like it a bit, quite good made symbols, but sounds of course is not interesting at all.

There is nothing really interesting with gameplay. This slot game does not have any feature at all, no bonus games or freespins, just nothing. Thankfully there are wild symbols, which are at least something, but wilds do not have any multiplier, and also do not have payout itself. But at paytable you can see that payouts quite very good for 5 lines game, and it is possible to get x 1000 total bet win for 5 best paying symbols, so that was 100 interesting spins for me, because I am believe in 'newbie luck' (I believe than when someone playing slot for first time, this player have good chances to hit something great, it is stupid, I know, but I am still believe in this).

I made 100 spins, each was 1.25$. My total balance was less than 100$, so of course I have some fear about my balance, because I never played this slot, and probably there was a chances for me to just lost all my money. Luckily this not happens. I do not have any huge wins, but have couple of moderate 3-4 of a kinds, and after 100 spins done I finished with just -5$ result. And I was just happy, because with such high bet size at unknown game for me everything can be much more worse.

It is not interesting slot game unfortunately, and min bet is quite high to play it.
