Unleashing the graveyard dread: A Howling Awesome Time!
Book of Dread, a horror Halloween video slot that promises to send shivers down your spine, but in the most delightfully entertaining way possible. As someone "cool" who had the pleasure of spinning it's eerie reels on the now-defunct FreeSpino casino, I can attest to the thrills and absolute chills this game has to offer to me.
Let's start with the moment that had me howling under the full moon for extravagant joy! I managed to land five of those fiercely dark wolf symbols, resulting in a whopping 200x payout on my $0.20 bet. That's right, a cool $40 for a mere pocket change investment! Talk about a furry, wild and lucrative encounter with the dangerous canine kind. Another big experience I had was inside the bonus where two symbols were chosen for scatter symbols to expand. 4 wolves howling for expansions rushed an echo of cheerful victory that delivered a big 494.5x win! $90.50 from $0.20, no questions asked!
Book of Dread, it's ominous theme lies in it's ability to captivate and immerse myself to it's eerie world. From the moment the reels start spinning, I can't help but feel a sense of uneasiness, wondering what shadows lurk behind the corner of the next suspenseful spin. Will it be a pack of ravenous wolves that await or perhaps a sinister tome filled with ancient forgotten secrets? My bets decided to find out further!
It was back in December 2023 when a superior "lush" admin of British background (their words, not mine) caught my attention and lured me into the Fazi Interactive forum contest. At first, this is a new platform that came with a new experience, a new path personally never discovered before!
Little did I know that this would lead me down a rabbit hole of spine-tingling excitement (oooohhhhh) and potentially life-altering payouts Book of Dread is more than just a fearfully dark slot – it's a new experience. It's "shadowrifically" atmospheric visuals, haunting soundscape, and the fulfillment of buried riches requiring a shovel and effort to dig up, it's no wonder this game has garnered a neat but "dark" reputation.
So whether you're a seasoned slot enthusiast or a newcomer seeking a dose of video slot entertainment, Book of Dread is a must-try. Just remember to keep one eye on the reels and the other over your shoulder, you never know what might be lurking from behind! 🫣
A slot from Fazi Interactive (developed via Redstone) and based on some dark horror theme of creatures you wouldn’t want to meet anywhere. The slot is basic with what goes on and has 5 reels and 10 paylines thus it’s easy to keep track of what goes on in the game too.
There is a free spins feature with this game as all good slots should have one and this one has it as you would find with most book slots where you need at least 3 books to trigger the feature and get 10 free spins to start and unlike some book games where you get only 1 special symbol, in this game you get 2 specials! Which is something I liked about it and separates itself from the rest of the many dozens of book games that are available. Free spins can be retriggered.
Now about the free spins features, it has averaged about 158 spins per feature and averaged a xbet of 79x Now I did like that the avg number of spins was only about 158 unlike some other book slots that I have played. I had a good number of features with this slot 21 of them and best being 165.5x and lowest 35.5x.
Like with most Fazi games there is a progressive jackpot that can be won and adds to the excitement of playing this slot and it helps while playing to keep the interest going.
Good thing the min bet is just 0.10 per spin.
Another thing to like is the RTP is quite high for a slot at 96.2% and so far I have played this slot at one site but it could be said that it might be different at some other sites but it is worth playing at the highest RTP to get the best and longest gameplay, it is up to you though. I was able to find a site with the best RTP and you should too.
The theme is so dark and unappealing. I mean it might be fine if you are a fan of horror movies or satanism but I am not so this theme was not for me yet I still played this slot but the slot didn’t like me. The base is harsh even if the slot RTP is 96.2% yet I found after a few thousand spins was running with a personal RT P of just over 90%. A couple of times it took over 400 spins to get the free spins feature. I did have 21 features on it. The base game didn’t give me any good wins nothing over 50x. I think the slot just wasn’t suited to me. I mean 21 features and the best it gave was 165.5x that says it all. There is no gamble feature cause it might have something to do with Redstone having a part in developing it.

I thought I have seen and played just about any Book game available on the market, but I soon realised that I was wrong when I came across this Book Of Dread game by Fazi Interactive. The visuals really attracted my attention immediately, made me want to play the game, and I soon gave it several playing sessions over the next few months. Nope, no regrets at all for doing that, simply because this is one of the best Book games that anyone can play! Beats any PlaynGo Book games anytime!
So, what is so special about this game that makes it stands out from the rest? Firstly, the graphics are simply superb and beautiful, with a colour scheme that is hauntingly nice, with bright and dark eerie scenarios at the same time. Probably the best visual game created by Fazi/Redstone game designers in my opinion, but beauty is really in the eye of each beholder. Secondly, the game offers two expanding symbols for its free spins, not just one like most other games have, so the winning chances are always doubled. Yes, retriggering of more free spins has not been missed out either, so that makes it triple worthwhile.
In my very first playing session on this game, I managed to get a good decent win from it, which doesn’t always happen for me with most other games. That winning screenshot was then used to enter one of Askgamblers contest, sponsored by Fazi Interactive themselves, and I even finally got a small winning prize from it as well. What more can I, or anyone else, ask for, right? Hehehe.
Is there anything that isn’t quite right in the game, or anything that I don’t quite like? Well, honestly speaking, no game can ever be perfect, so there are bound to be some like or dislike aspects in the game. As for me personally, this Book Of Dread would be one game I would go looking for whenever I want to play a Book game! And yes, it has become one of my favourites too.
