Big Shots

Big Shots is Playtech’s 6-reels 4-rows game, a format which has never caught my interest as yet. This game actually reminded me of Quickspin’s The Wild Chase, which plays with the standard 5 reels and 3 rows, so I like The Wild Chase much more than this Big Shots. Anyway, that’s just my personal preference, just as some players simply love the game Bonanza whilst I simply hate it, hehehe.

True, this Big Shots game isn’t a new game, but its appearance made me think “is this from 10 years ago?”! Yeah, the graphics are way too basic and the overall presentation is simply not attractive at all – it may look okay for a decade-old game, but not from a few years back. It also looks very much like a game by Quickspin! Anyway, what I do like about this game is its 4096 ways to win and its $0.20 starting bet per spin, so its affordable to play, but that’s about it.

The symbols win values are only good if won on all 4096 paylines or thereabouts, otherwise, all values are extremely low! Getting all same 24 symbols on the reels is another story altogether, if at all possible, so I won’t go into much detail on that. The free spins is triggered by getting the full 4x4 Colossal Scatter symbol – partial appearances doesn’t count. This Scatter can be randomly nudged into full view to trigger 5 free spins with no multiplier (argh!), but it can also nudge partially without triggering anything, not even any payout. Nah, that’s not good enough to me – it should always nudge into full view, or not nudge at all, like in other games.

If you’ve played The Wild Chase before, then this Big Shots game also plays the same way, meaning, any 3 or more winning symbols become sticky and gets a free respin, until no new win is achieved. This is the only way to get all same 24 symbols on the reels, but I really doubt if this can happen for the higher symbols - just my guess though. Worse still, without any win multipliers around to boost up the wins, any good ones might be damn hard to get, that’s for sure! My best hit so far? Just 128x, but I’m not gonna try for a bigger win, no thanks, hahaha.
