At the Movies Slot Betsoft

Anyway, all those who wants to join me at the movies, sit back now, relax, and here we go - my review on the game At The Movies. What? You want to go to a real movie? Oh gees, have to wait till we meet up, darlings and mates, but for now, I can only offer a review, like it or not. Hehehe.

This is not a new game from BetSoft, but is one of the earliest 3D games though. Even today, you would still find the graphics acceptable, but it does look a little bit faded, doesn't it? Anyway, back in those days, players would be delighted enough with this game. Honestly speaking, the game alone doesn't offer much in terms of features, having only the Free Spins game to look forward to, but it plays quite well nonetheless. Playing with 25 paylines, the minimum starting bet per spin is set at 0.50, for one reason or another, but the lines can be selected for a lower starting bet per spin. I like this.

The Masks is the Wild symbol in the game, not paying anything for itself, sadly, but it substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter symbol, and doubles all wins with it. Hmm, better than nothing I guess. The Projector is the Scatter symbol, getting 2 of them pays 1x the total bet, but getting 3 or more of them doesn't pay anything, except to award 8, 12 or 20 free spins with all wins doubled. Argh. 8 free spins isn't enough for me, not with only a 2x multiplier. It should be with a 5x multiplier to be really attractive. Ah well, BetSoft games are not known to be of the high variance kind, mostly being the low to medium variance kind of games, as is for this game too - low variance. Don't know if the Free Spins can be retriggered or not, nothing has been indicated in the paytable, but I'm quite sure that it can, because the Scatter symbols are still in play during the free spins. As for the other symbols, the Oscar pays 2000x, the Popcorn pays 1000x, the Magazine pays 400x, and the rest pay from 200x to 40x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A very low paytable no doubt.

What can anyone expect from a game such as this? The Wild doubles all wins with it, and the free spins has a 2x multiplier, so that would make some decent wins with the combined 4x multiplier. Not a lot really, hence a higher multiplier would have made a nicer difference and for bigger wins. As it is, the maximum possible win would be a low 320x the total bet amount, by getting 5 Oscars with a Wild symbol during the free spins, with a final payout of up to 350x perhaps. No way of going much higher than this, but I may be wrong.

At the Movies is nice themed video slot from Betsoft software provider, but with not so good graphics and animations. It has 5 reels and 25 pay lines. The minimum bet is set to 0.25€ per spin and this was also my bet when I played it. At the beginning I first noticed sounds, music. It is really cool music for video slot with this theme.

This game has only one feature which is free spins. 3 scatters give you 8 free spins, 4 scatters 12 free spins and all five scatters give you 20 free spins. I triggered free spins once while I was playing. I won from it around 8€ from min bet. I do not like very much this game because it has only one feature. If I compare it to some other video slots from Betsoft, this one is bad. Why is bad for me? Because it offer one feature, other games have at least two features with bonus game or something like that. And while I was playing At the movies I got bored pretty soon.

I was playing this game for only about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I got bored, because I couldn’t triggered more free games. Two scatters appears often and good thing is that pay out something. Otherwise the paytable looks good for some symbols, but I never got any big winnings here during main game and also into free spins. I think it could provide some decent wins, but you need to play it for a longer time, not only for 10 minutes; I guess.

I will rate it with 6 out of 10 possible stars. For me it is not a perfect game and I do not think I will play it again. I tried it once, but I do not like it so much. I rather play other Betsoft games which offer many more features and some bonus game.

If I'd have to choose my favorite slot game from Betsoft gaming platform, it would definitely be At The Movies slot. I've had luck with it more than with other this software games besides I love the theme and overall design it has. As the name says, the thematic is cinema and the slot is the movie you're watching. It contains such symbols as projector, oscar statue, popcorn and few others. It has 5 reels 25 paylines and the minimum coin size is 0.02€ so the minimum bet for it is 0.50€.

This game has only free spins bonus round which triggers when you get 3 scatters on wherever on the wheel. Scatters are the projector symbols and I have to say for me they usually come up very often. Besides, you get paid 2x bet size for 2 scatters which is better than nothing. If you get 3 scatters, you'll play 8 free spins and that is the usual amount that I get. 4 scatters give 12 spins but all 5 scatters give 20 free spins. I think that this game doesn't have a huge winning potential and I think it would only happen if you get 5 scatters which is really hard to do. But even if you'd receive 5 oscar figures, which are the most valuable ones, you'd win 1000 coins and it isn't that much if your bets are low. And even though this game also has wild symbols that substitute for everything except scatters, the winnings they give aren't really high and for me they don't appear really often.


Overall I would say in my opinion this game is my favorite from Betsoft platform, I like the design and the free spins aren't hard to get. But it your balance is low, this game could take away your balance fast, just because of the minimum bet amount. I like it because of its appearance, but the paytable could be better, because I don't think you can win something big on this slot, I haven't got even close to 100x bet win.
