Okay, so nobody's perfect right? So we can't really blame BetSoft for going nuts in this case right? Why going nuts? Because they sent out only one Marine and one lady companion to attack an alien spaceship out in deep space! If that isn't an idiosyncrasy, then I don't know what is! If they were merely scouting, then they wouldn't have attacked that alien spaceship at all, would they. That would be a gross mistake. Scouts would report back to base and get out of there as quickly as they can. But there you go, with a bit of idiosyncrasy, a game is created. Hahaha.
Arrival is all about that one Marine guy trying to rescue that lady companion that got caught by the alien boss, the Brain. With a little bit more of idiosyncrasy thrown into the game, the Marine guy brought his pet along too for the rescue mission! Oh boy! Hahaha. Anyway, in this crazy Arrival game, there isn't any Wild symbol at all, for one reason or another. Oh sheesh! The alien boss, the Brain, is the Scatter symbol, but is a dumb Scatter symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself. Getting 3 or more of him triggers the Free Spins game, with one Wild Reel, but without any multiplier. How many free spins, I just don't know, as there isn't any indication in the paytable either. Worse still, I have played this game 2 or 3 times before, but couldn't even get 1 lousy Free Spins game at all!
The Lady is the Bonus symbol, another dumb symbol, with no payouts whatsoever, but getting 3 or more of her triggers the Bonus Round. In this Bonus game, the Lady is trapped inside a huge bubble, and the Marine has to click on the right buttons to deactivate the 4 strainers on the bubble to set the Lady free. Hmm, yes, I managed to pick on the right buttons, got the Lady free, and got her out safely, all for a lousy 30x total bet win! Oh sheesh! So little reward for such a major task, wouldn't you agree? Hehehe. The Raygun is yet another dumb Bonus symbol that doesn't pay anything for getting them, but getting 3 or more of these Rayguns trigger the 'Click Me' feature to win instant cash prizes. Getting a 'collect' icon ends the feature. Don't know how much or how big the reward can be, as nothing has been indicated, but the best win I got was only 30x my bet amount. As for the other symbols in the game, the Marine pays 400x, the Pet pays 300x, and the rest pay from 200x to 50x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. An extremely low paytable!
Well, I wish the paytable wasn't so blardy low. All the payouts in the base game were so small, but they do come frequently, thereby keeping the credits decreasing at a slow pace. From the 2 different Bonus games, I could only manage to get a best win of 30x my bet amount, out of 4 Bonus games played. No chance to get any Free Spins game at all, and this was a big disappointment for me. Yes, I should give the game a few more tries, no doubt, to eventually get that Free Spins game, but why should I waste more of my money on a game that cannot pay big at all? Sorry, but there won't be any idiosyncrasy from me, hahaha.
