Mines by Spribe — Overview
If you love mining games but aren’t keen on the often limited maximum payouts, step things up a level with the Mines game from Spribe.
The concept is the same—set your bet and click the square to reveal either a star or a mine. With the former, your win multiplier increases, and you can either collect or continue. With the latter, the game ends, and you lose the multiplier accumulated so far.
The difference between Mines and many other instant games is that you can set how many mines you want to appear, and you can chain wins together until they hit massive multipliers.
Click the “Mines” drop-down menu above the grid to choose anywhere between 1 and 20 mines on the 25 tile grid. The more mines you select, the bigger the possible payout and the greater the risk.
It’s a simple concept, but it gives you more flexibility and transforms what would otherwise be a standard mining game.
Play the Mines demo to get a feel for the different permutations. You can play on desktop, iOS, or Android, with mobile platforms putting everything within thumb’s reach and offering faster and more tactile gameplay. In many jurisdictions, you can also program auto-play. Toggle “Auto Game”, choose your preferred number of tiles, and then set the total rounds, along with wager limits that stop the feature when you win/lose a certain amount.
RTP and Limits
Online casinos set their own maximum payouts and stake ranges. Technically, it’s possible to hit multipliers of over 50,000x in some iterations of the game, but many variants carry maximum wins of €10,000, with a betting range of €0.10 to €100.
The listed RTP is 97%, giving it a house edge of 3%, while volatility depends on the grid setup—more mines for higher volatility and fewer mines for lower volatility.
