I’m not surprised to see that no one else has reviewed this game so far. If I was head of Microgaming I would seriously consider firing the guy whoever came up with the idea to make this slot. It has been one huge disappointment for me. If you’re used to playing 243 ways to win slots, then naturally your expectations are high.
But Wild Catch manages to do exactly the opposite. The theme is based on a fisherman who’s trying to get something worthy on his hook. The symbols chosen for this game match the theme accurately, but in my opinion this slot shouldn’t be launched in 2014. Maybe 2004?
The game is just too simple in design and even the melodies are monotone and boring for this day and age. Then I haven’t even spoken about my results yet, which I’m not too positive about either. I played this game at 32Red some months ago when I was tired of playing poker.
The minimum bet was only €0.30 but I played €0.60 bets hoping to hit something nice on this new game back then. Little I knew, hitting big is almost impossible on this game. 5oak combinations hardly paid much and the free spins feature was like impossible for me to trigger.
It also has another feature, called the wild feature if you manage to hit a wild on reels 2, 3 and 4. That’s the only place where the wilds can appear. Needless to say I never managed to trigger that feature in more than 2500 spins.
You need 3, 4 or 5 scatters to trigger respectively 10, 15 or 20 free spins. It took me around 2000 spins to finally trigger this feature. And two scatters don’t pay anything, so you can imagine how frustrating that road was.
During the free spins a wild win will increase a multiplier by 1 x all the way up to 10 x. I won like 20 x betsize during the free spins and never played this silly game again. It turned out to be a waste of money, time and who knows what else.
