Slot Features

Players need to reach a new level every time you clear a pattern. Clear patterns by winning on all the indicated positions. On each level, you will be blessed with the presence of one of the four Gods.

Gift of the Gods

During God of Thunder, Thor, the lightning strikes the grid creating 5 to 9 Wild symbols. Odin is the God of Wisdom, and once you activate his feature, 4 Wilds will be created in groups of two. Freya is the Goddess of Beauty, and her feature sheds the light that creates Wild symbols in four clusters until at least one win is achieved. Heimdal, the God of Guarding, is associated with the feature which creates one Wild in each of the 7 rows. You can win up to x5000 your bet in this feature.

Rune of Valhalla

Players need to win on the 5 different Rune Stone symbols in order to collect them. Collect at least one and clear the current pattern to activate the Runes of Valhalla Bonus game. Collecting Runes Stones will trigger winning spaces on the bonus wheel. Take advantage of the bonus by hitting any of these activated winning spaces on the bonus wheel. The bonus amount won is indicated in the Valhalla bonus display and may grow by 12% of symbol win amounts.

Charge of Destruction

All wins during a game round contribute to increasing a charge meter of destruction. When the charge meter is fully charged and there are no more cascades, the charge effect is activated, triggering one of the following effects: Fury of Fenrir, Judgment of Jörmungandr, Scorching of Surtr, Lure of Loki.

During the Ragnarok feature, the Charge of Destruction is replaced with an End of the World bonus meter. Players need to land a certain number of symbols during the entire Ragnarok feature to be awarded with a total win multiplier! To be precise, you need to land 20, 40, 60, 80 symbols in order to receive a 2, 3, 5, 15x multiplier corres¬pon¬din¬gly.

Free Round

When there are no more winning combinations achieved during the Free Round, a Charge of Destruction feature will be activated. Each feature can be triggered once only. The Ragnarok feature ends when all features have already been activated. During this feature, all winning symbols increase the multiplier up to 15x.

Viking Runecraft is a brand new slot by PlaynGo. This 7x7-grid slot is similar to our beloved old school Gemix and Golden Ticket, but the flavour of this slot features takes it to another level. It is like Gemix combined with Vikings go wild or berserk from Yggdrasil.

Viking Runecraft's graphics look great but the sound effect on this slot is superb in my opinion. Symbols on the reels including 5 low value runes, whereas the high symbols include an axe, hammer, necklace and helmet. You just need to connect 5 symbols of the same kind next to each other in order to win. The more symbols next to each other increase the win significantly. Landing 15 hammer symbols can win you x1000 your total stake.

There are also 4 wild symbols which are represented by the gods and goddesses namely Freya, Thor, Odin and Heimdall. The gods can during any spin place additional wilds on the reels. Every win will charge the meter to the side of the reel set – when full, you will play 1 of 4 Charge of Destruction bonus features that the gods represent which are the following:

Fury of Fenrir feature – 4 diagonal lines of symbols are slashed, 2 lines are removed with the other 2 lines of symbols becoming the same symbol.

Judgement of Jormungand feature – a selection of symbols are destroyed from reel 1 - 7. Symbols on the path of the snake changes to the same symbol.

Scorching of Surtr feature – 3 symbols are set on fire with the fire spreading to a randomly number of nearby symbols with those symbols destroyed. In the burning cluster, a core of new symbols appears each the same to give you a win.

Lure of Loki feature – 2 symbols are chosen. 1 of the symbols transforms into all the same symbols and the 2nd symbols are removed.

The Ragnarok free spins rounds are entered when you recharge the side meter twice. 1 free spins is given and during the round all 4 destruction bonus features are in play. While winning during the free spins round another charge meter is filling and that is the multiplier charge which in the end of the round multiply your total win. You can win up to x15 your total winnings.

I love this slot and one of my all-time favourites. I managed to win x2100 my total bet during free spins round and that was at x2 multiplier. Imagine if I had x15 multiplier. Recommend and very good for wagering.

I guess almost every player has by now played the game Cloud Quest by Play'nGo. When that game was released some time back, I couldn't really enjoy playing it, for several reasons. Firstly, that 5-reels 5-rows format was a little too much for me to like. Everything looked so cluttered up, with so many icons within the play area at one time, which wasn't at all pleasing to my eyes. If that was bad, how about this newly released game Viking Runecraft? It plays with 7 reels and 7 rows! That's 49 icons all crammed up within one small play area - oh my gawd! Sorry to say, but this format is even worse than that of Cloud Quest, but other players all seem to love it anyway. Perhaps I'm the only one who doesn't like it much, hehehe.

Trying to describe a game such as this Viking Runecraft calls for a different approach than the usual. Giving win values for any 5-of-a-kind win doesn't fit in at all. Stating win values for each symbol doesn't fit in as well. The wins in this game start with any 5 connected same symbols anywhere on the reels, no longer with only 3 same symbols. The winning combinations can be from 5 symbols up to fifteen and more symbols. There aren't any Scatter or Bonus symbols at all, and the Wild symbols do not appear on the reels until they are randomly thrown onto the reels at any time. Suffice to say then that the symbols in this game pay from 1000x the total bet down to 10x the total bet for 15 or more same symbols. The paytable can be so complex, what with all the special features within the game, so whether the paytable is a good one or a low one would depend very much on how the payouts are during the base game play and during the features play. But looking at that 1000x total bet win value alone, it suggests that the paytable is a good one at the very least. I cannot even say what the maximum possible win could be, if not already indicated as 5000x the total bet in the paytable.

Trying to describe the various features within this game can be rather tedious too. The randomly triggered Gifts of Gods features, for example, has 4 different modes for winning chances, namely Thor, Odin, Freya and Heimdall, each one throwing Wilds onto the reels in differing patterns. In the background lies a specific pattern that needs to be filled up by symbols in winning combinations in order to proceed to the next higher level. How many levels in the game, I wouldn't know, perhaps even without any limits! Completing each level also gets the Runes of Valhalla Bonus game, with a chance to win the accumulated bonus amount, which works like a progressive jackpot, increasing with every win until won.

A Charge of Destruction feature is activated upon winning 20 or more symbols, with 4 different charges, each one removing symbols on the reels in different ways, causing a Rolling Reels effect for more winning chances. Then there's also the Ragnarok feature that is activated by winning 40 symbols before the Charge of Destruction feature gets activated. All winning symbols then increases the Multiplier Charge up to the maximum of 15x, for a super huge winning possibility. Hmm, all seems very complicated and hard to follow, isn't it? It gets easier to understand and comprehend as the game is played more and more. Playing only one game on this Viking Runecraft would not show the full capabilities of the different features, so players need to come back for more every time. Hmm, a very smart sneaky trick, I must say, hehehe.

Oh gees, this is the hardest part for me to do - to say what I don't like about the game. What is obvious, is the 7-reels 7-rows eye-twerking format of the play area. No payline is in play, any 5-same-symbols makes a winning combination, this can happen anywhere on the reels, making the eyes twerk as the wins happen up, down, left, right and in the center too. This is one game I like to play but only for short periods of time. At least it doesn't make my eyes go twerking like the game 'Twerk' does, hahaha.

Here is a new video slot that could interest fans of games based on ancient mythology, and in this case, “Play'n GO” has borrowed some gods from the Viking civilization to accompany players on their journey while playing “Viking Runecraft,” which turned out to be a pretty interesting slot in my opinion.

This is one of those slots where you should not form lines but you must get 5 identical icons to be located adjacent in order to get a hit; then symbols involved disappear, the remaining symbols fall as a result of gravity, and new symbols are dropped from above to fill the spaces that have been left empty on the 7 x 7 grid.

This type of slots are usually complex, but the truth is they have always attracted me a lot because they usually come with special features with a lot of potentials, and especially I like very much those that accumulate energy for each hit in a row achieved, to later unleash powerful features that can include wilds, multipliers and all kinds of exciting things.

Indeed, in Viking Runecraft slot it has been included a feature of this type that loads completely when 20 symbols have participated in different combinations within the same turn, a fact that can be observed in the circle of runes located to the left side of the grid.

This feature is called “Charge of Destruction” and when we achieve a full charge, it is initially activated one of 4 powers to be applied to your reels, and then give way to a round of free spins with random multipliers, to finally give way to your ascent of a level.

By the way, they are 4 levels and each one of them corresponds to a Viking god that in their respective order are: Thor, Odin, Freya and Heimdal, and in each level the gods will randomly offer their favors to the player by scattering wilds, removing symbols to maximize your chances of getting a hit, and things like that.

As I said before, this is a fairly complex video slot, although the truth is that it is more complicated to describe it than playing it, but what is certain is that it is a slot full of action and a hundred percent exciting.

Today I have managed to get a big win equivalent to 127x my total bet in its main feature, so that its winning potential is indisputable; payouts during the base game will often be small and certainly there will also be several streaks of non-winning spins, but ultimately your luck and strategy will determine the fate of your balance.

Personally, I feel that Play'n GO surprised me with this release since I think this is one of the best slots that this company has created so far this year, and I honestly have to admit that their last games had not really been my pleasure, but I think because of games like this is that this company has been crowned Slot Provider of the Year at the prestigious International Gaming Awards.

I hope “Viking Runecraft” slot does not disappoint you as I think it's one of those slots not to be missed.
