Microgaming is the only game provider that likes to offer cloned games, not just a few games, but lots of them! Why, I can only make a guess - to easily increase the total number of games in their directory. A new player may see hundreds of games in the list, but little does the new player know that most of the games are cloned games that use the same game concepts but with different symbols. Then Microgaming also likes to group them up together in different series. There are several of them, like The Golden Goose series, The Retro Reels series, The Rhyming Reels series, the Sneak A Peek series, and there's also this So Many So Much series. The first in the list, is So Many Monsters.
So, what's so special about this series over the other series, you may ask. Well, in these 3 games, all high symbols can turn from 5 symbols into up to 25 symbols! Now that's a lot of symbols. So getting 5-of-a-kind is chicken feed, with a payout that doesn't even cover the bet amount. Getting 25-of-a-kind is what matters, if you can get them. The logo 'So Many Monsters' is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays a good 300x the total bet amount. It substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter symbol, but is nevertheless a dumb Wild symbol, by not doubling any wins with it, and not appearing stacked or expanded on the reels. The Eyeball is the Scatter symbol, paying 75x the total bet for 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of these Eyeballs trigger the Free Spins Feature game. As for the symbols in the game, the Monster symbols pay from 640x to 320x the total bet amount, but the lower card symbols pay from 4.4x to 2.2x the total bet amount, all for 25 of each kind. Read that again...for 25 of a kind! I honestly am not sure of how to rate a paytable like this one, being the only odd one out, but I think it must be a good one.
There are 5 choices to pick from in the Free Spins game, with each choice offering a different variety of free spins and Wild symbols. Pick one which you prefer most - 8 free spins, 10 free spins, 12 free spins, 14 free spins or 16 free spins. The 8 free spins game can pay the biggest possible win amount, whilst the 16 free spins game pays the least. Only one Monster type is played in the corresponding choice of game, and the Free Spins game plays without any multipliers, so getting a Monster symbol splitting into 5 Monsters symbol would pay the best.
The paytable looks exciting with all those 25 of a kind symbols, with correspondingly good big payouts. The maximum possible win is indicated as $64,000.00, or 640x the total bet amount at the maximum bet size per spin. When converted into the minimum bet size per spin, 640x isn't that much at all, as compared to other games that could pay well over 1000x the bet amount. The payouts that I got from my various plays on this game couldn't go beyond 60x my bet amount, with 52x as the best so far, but playing this So Many Monsters game was fun and enjoyable. Getting a huge win would certainly make it a very good game indeed.
