First of all, it’s interface is too colourful and for my taste it has not the best colour usage. I think the symbols must have been illustrated with way less colour tints that would have made better the overall effects and I find useless and a little bit ‘eye-hurting’ the over decorated unused areas of the screen. I believe fewer colours would have made this appearance more attractive and less bothering but in this format I don’t like it too much.
The other pictorial question at these type of games, whether it uses live person images as symbols or just graphically made ones and Football Fever chose this latter path (but the famous Italian referee, Collina got a solid pictogram). The figures symbolize fans, football equipment, tickets, yellow card, fan, stadium and others but they are not too well-drawn so they’re absolutely not impressive and memorable. All in all, it can’t be said about the appearance that it would be a top-notch one and there are lot of segments of this work phase that seem to be not finished properly.
Football Fever is a 243-ways-to-win type slot that can be played from $0.25 up to $31.25 as total bet. Ball symbol is the Wild of the game and only just substitutes for others and also has the responsibility to pay out the highest amount what the best 5 of a kind win can give, 750 times of the used coin denomination. Yellow Card is the Scatter and can trigger the Bonus side game but doesn’t pay in itself. This Bonus game is a simple penalty kick competition but the winnable prize here theoretically can be much better as the collected bonus points are multiplied by the total bet. Free Spin feature supposed to be the best paying feature after 3 or more Free Kick icons activate 5-15 extra games and during that session all wins are counted by tripled values but in reality it’s really not realized or noticeable.
Because of the 243 possible line wins the good combinations are very frequently occurred but 90% of the cases they don’t reach the amount of placed stake. Honestly, I don’t even remember when I got a so-called five of a kind win or higher profit than 10 times of my total bet. Unfortunately, the features come very hard and not rare when more hundreds spins are necessary for them to be triggered. The bonus game where we have one shoot attempt (must pick one target out of 10) is also a bad paying secondary game as for my $1 total bet the maximum that I can win back is around $30 so it really can’t deserve to wait for it.
Generally, I’d lie if I say this is the best game I’ve ever played and I also wouldn’t tell the truth if I rate this product as average because this game has worse game qualities than the slots have that I consider at that category. Starting from the interface through the bad payout tendency and finishing with the lack of ability to entertain me, I couldn’t mention any segment of the game that would give me any quality that I could appreciate of consider real good, so it’s no surprise if my comprehensive opinion about Football Fever can’t be too positive and don’t see it anything else than a bad game.
