There was a time, a few years ago, when I had spend a considerable amount of my free time playing card games like Poker, Blackjack and Texas Hold'Em. That was a time when I was forced to take a long break from playing my favourite slot games, due to dire unfavourable financial circumstances. But at least something good came out of it. I gained lots of experience playing those card games, all using fun money in 'The Grand Poker' of course, but I managed to climb up to quite a respectably high level, with several Billions of fun credits in my balance. When my finances improved a bit, I left those Billions behind in my account and went back to playing slot games, hehehe.

Reel Play Poker: Jacks Or Better plays against the computer. Some may like this form of gameplay, others may not. I have played such poker games on poker machines before, all with real money, but hardly ever making any win, except for a very few times, when I did get a Royal Flush or Four-of-a-kind wins. Those wins were very rare indeed for me. So, when I started playing this Jacks or Better game, I was already familiar with its gameplay and what to expect from the computer's responses. True enough, I couldn't even last 15 minutes playing the game, but worst of all, I got so bored in the end, with all those loss after loss, no matter how I played the game. Well, that was the first and last time I played this game. If it's poker I wanna play, then it's got to be against real human players, not against a programmed computer!

Playing Virtual Poker is just not the same as playing real table Poker against real opponents. The outcome of each turn of a card can vary drastically, depending on whose turn it was to deal, because some poker players can be real crazy players who like to go 'all in' with even the slightest card advantage. Winning or losing may vary a lot under these situations, but that's what the game is all about - predicting what the other opponent would do. With virtual Poker such as this game from Microgaming, the outcome of the play tends to be rather 'predictable' unfortunately, not to the benefit of the player, but mostly to the gain of the computer. This sucks! It's not like playing real poker at all, and I don't like it one bit!

Guys, this video slot is for people who like to tempt fate just by turning a few cards into a poker hand and for people who love Poker! It's a good twist of a slot that combines Poker knowledge and the personalities of a slot machine. This here's Reel Play Poker - Jacks or Better, a 20 paylines video slot of Poker excellence!

Now it's just like a video poker machine, giving me an initial hand to hold onto as well as to discard. Once I have my decisions I can "Deal spin" so that the first hand potential creates a poker hand and the reels spin on the sections not being held! If all but one section is held then that single reel not being held will spin once to try connecting for Poker Hands. What I do to the first hand will reflect the reels in other words! It's a must to bet higher than moderately on here for $1 or more!

Most of everything bounces back and my bets get a very small boost. Hitting for example full houses and 4 of a kind results in a slightly better payout than a straight or less, like two pairs or a single pair. $1 bets of mine becomes $1.40 depending on the strength of hands I land for.

It's not like that Kings of Chicago slot from NetEnt. Some of the details that the KoC does have would be the poker paytable scale but it also has Free spins. Unfortunately here on Reel Play Poker - Jacks or Better, expect nothing on here for features. It's just a standard Video Poker twisted with a slot to bring together those qualities.

There's nothing special going on here or do I see any whopping wins. As with every Video Pokers around, a Royal Flush is super rare on here that I have yet to bring one out for a plentiful win on a payline! No matter what, this poker slot doesn't beat the real Video Pokers.......Aces and Faces 50/100 plays, oh yeah (winks).
