When I first saw the game's title, it read Giftrap in the game but it showed Gift Rap elsewhere. The way I see it, it could also read as Gif trap, or as shown in the game itself, 'Giftrap'. Now which is which? Hmm, yet again, only Microgaming knows! The game isn't a new one, it hasn't got nice graphics, the icons used for the game could use some cheering up instead of looking dreary or even menacing. Nope, those iconic symbols simply do not appear pleasing at all. For a special festive occasion game, those icons suck!

The Bauble is the Wild symbol and pays 6000x the line bet for 5 of them. It is a dumb Wild symbol that doesn't pay for itself, that doesn't double any wins, that doesn't come stacked or expanded, and only knows how to substitute. The Spray is the Scatter symbol, paying 80x the total bet for 5 of them. Why suddenly 80x and not the usual 100x? Hmm. Only you-know-who knows. What's more, the Spray Scatter symbols do not award any Free Spins game, simply because there aren't any Free Spins game in Giftrap. The Rappin' Jack Frosts is the Bonus symbol, getting 3, 4 or 5 of these Bonus symbols trigger the Giftrap Bonus Game, whereby you get to pick items to win coins, until Rappin' Jack Frosts appear to end the picking. All the other symbols in the game pay from 1000x down to 50x the line bet for 5 of them. Below average paytable table, more on the low side.

With only the Bauble Wild symbols to provide any good nice big wins, playing the game and getting small insignificant wins much too often soon became a bore for me. I lost my focus and concentration quite quickly, becoming sleepy even! No doubt there were a few decent wins of between 40x to 60x the total bet amount, but the pick and win feature has never been a favourite of mine and has hardly given any good wins for me either. I would definitely prefer the Free Spins feature game than the pick and win kind.

The graphic is not that impressive since we are talking about a video slot that is very old but at the same time it is very fast moving and colorful. Some of the symbols include a child`s microphone and speaker, a squeaky hammer toy, a spinning top, a teddy bear with a drum and a wind up monkey playing the cymbals. The most valuable symbols are the duo of female rappers and the two single elves.

What I liked the most at this slot was the Gift Grab Bonus which is triggered if 3 or more special bonus symbols Jack in The Box, which is actually a snowman that wears sunglasses, appear anywhere on the reels. If you get the Gift Grab Bonus you can win up to 32.500 coins which happens I suppose once in a blue moon. Even though I got the bonus a couple of times while I was playing the game two times Jack Frost was my first pick so I was sent back to the base game and did not win any money. There is a $10 cash gift hiding in one of the presents if you play with $0.50 which can be even higher if you are betting with more coins. There is another extra feature which is the expert mode, which will allow you to set the game to spin 5x in a row or 10x in a row or everyone`s favorite auto play which spins the reels continuously.

Gift Rap is an old, nice themed video slot from Microgaming software provider. It has 25 pay lines and I played this game only once. The reason is because I do not like so much graphics into this game. It looks really old and I did not have any big win on it.

The base game for me is not so interesting. I had only a few decent winnings during my gameplay session. I never won any big money here and this is why I do not like it.

There is gift grab bonus which is trigger when you have at least 3 Rappin' Jack Frosts symbols. Into this bonus you have to pick out some boxed and behind them there are prizes. I think I won around x 20 bet here at this bonus. I think it could be better, because there were only two symbols which ended the bonus game. But I picked out the wrong box at the beginning, so I think the payout was still good enough.

There is also wild bauble symbols which appears during game. I never had any big win with this symbol, but I wish some of those big winnings. The payouts for wild symbols are good, but most of other symbols pay out poor for me. I did not like this game very much. The design is not good and in the end I lost money on this game.

I will rate this game with 5 stars. I am sure I will not play it again in near future. The reason is because the payouts during base game were really small. I expected more from it and it could be more interesting. I became bored while I was playing it, because I have not seen any special win from this game. It disappointed me.

Gift Rap it is Microgaming video slot which was released quite long ago, because it is not hard to understand that it is old game. Discovered this game to myself at 32red when trying old games, and only once thing that I liked - music and sounds... Yeah, I am like rap music.

Game looks old, and generally I am not like how this game looks, how symbols made. But like was said I like music and sounds, so at least something. Also there is 25 paylines, so min bet with which you can play it is 0.25. Of course you could play less lines, but I never do this, because do not see any point of this.

Base game is quite not interesting. Actually I could say that it is not interesting at all. For 150 spins that I done in this slot I am just was tired from waiting bonus game, because nothing more interesting here. Wilds appear on all reels and itself have good payout for 5 of a kind, but everything else is not interesting, and also wilds without any multiplier. Payouts for most symbols are also very low. And yeah, there is scatters symbols, which pay low, and do not trigger any feature. Another minus for this slot.

Bonus game is triggered when 3 or more special bonus symbols appear on reels. It is just regular pick bonus, for 150 spins I got this feature 3 times. Best result was about x 30 total bet, and lowest one was 5 x total bet (lol).

Overall I do not like this game. Base game is boring and do not have almost any potential to pay decent money. Base game seems to trigger quite often, but also without huge potential, and can pay even such bad like 5x total bet.

Very boring slot game, I liked only sounds, and nothing else.

It's one of the oldest slots in the casino and I personally enjoy playing on it. I don't care what anyone says, this slot is purely awesome to me! The Gift Grab bonus is what I like the most about this video slot! But again if Jack Frost shows up on the first pick of bonus in one of the presents then I lost the will to continue on. It will take me two of the same bonus, that's two separate triggers of getting the Gift Grab bonus, of getting Jack Frost as my first pick to close down this slot. Once I find them twice in a row on 2 bonuses then clearly I will suffer over again failing to make the right picks inside. Good luck will play a major role when entering this bonus as luck will keep you from choosing one of the 3 Jack Frosts hidden in one of the presents. A bonus ending symbol is not what you would like to see if this is your first time triggering the bonus on this slot. With only $0.50 the returns are, at the same height as the word "normal".......enough to produce my returns. However, the bonus alone can potentially make me walk out with around $40 or more with a $0.50.

For those who like betting $0.50 there is a $10 cash gift hiding in one of the presents and should you increase your coin bets it will be bigger! Here's some insightbased on what I found. When betting $0.25 to trigger the bonus there is a $5 cash gift hiding in one of the presents, $10 for a $0.50 triggering bet and $15 for a a $0.75 triggering bet! The pattern goes on. As soon as my funds are "ginormous" I will be going through what people don't do often, max bet per spin!!!! Yeah!!!! Bonus picking can really be fun but sadly to tell you there are no free spinsin Gift Rap :( .
