Mega Moolah strikes again as its €7.3 million jackpot landed in the lap of one lucky player. It marks the first multi-millionaire jackpot of 2022 for Microgaming's hugely popular jackpot title, which paid out a life-changing €7,296,286.88.
Biggest Jackpot of the Year
The lucky spinner became the 70th instant millionaire, and as with any of Microgaming's progressive jackpots, it was paid out in one full lump sum.
On 6 February, Mega Moolah paid out its biggest jackpot of 2022, turning one lucky player into an instant millionaire.
The game first roared onto our screens back in 2006, and ever since its launch, it has remained one of the most popular jackpot titles of all time.
Its four-tiered jackpot remains popular with players worldwide as it boasts a top starting seed of €1 million. This means you can play it right now, and the biggest jackpot will be at least €1m, even though the jackpot has just been won!
Its reputation has not gone unnoticed, paying out more than 18.4 million jackpots across all tiers and games, totalling more than €919 million.
A Gaming Industry Icon
It has had a rich 15-year history, to say the least, which has included some record-breaking payouts, cementing its position as one of the industry's gaming icons.
In 2018, we saw the game make history, awarding €18.9m to one lucky player, its largest-ever jackpot. In 2020, Microgaming added Absolootly Mad™: Mega Moolah to its collection, and in 2021, the jackpot was beaten with a staggering €19.4 million top prize.
Microgaming is now proud owners of seven additional titles to join the Mega Moolah series, and more are in the pipeline this year!
Andrew Clucas, CEO at Microgaming, said it is "fantastic to see the first Mega Moolah win of the year, particularly as it's another sizable seven-figure sum."
Clucas congratulated the winner and noted that "an amazing 15 years after taking its first bet, the mighty Mega Moolah slot continues to be extremely popular and payout massive wins such as this Mega €7.3 million* reward. Long may that continue," he concluded.
