Another year has passed, and we’re happy to say we’ve compiled our annual AskGamblers Complaint Service report for 2024! Our AGCS (formerly known as AGCCS) team has worked hard throughout the year, helping you with issues with online casinos and sports betting operators.
Keep on reading to find out what marked the previous year. As expected, we have some record-breaking numbers to announce, so let’s start!
Close to $7 Million Recovered in 2024
We’ve had a busy year, and our Complaint Service team has processed thousands of different requests from players all over the world. In 2024, our complaints team managed to recover $6,890,547.11, which is a fantastic number!
Even though that’s less than last year’s staggering $9,031,914.04, it’s still an amazing number retrieved in just one year.
Let’s break down the numbers a bit! On our international version of the website, we received 10,342 complaints, a 28.57% increase compared to last year. Our team recovered a total of $6,473,049.96, but we’ve decided to play around with the stats and calculate the averages:
- Average per day: $17,734.38
- Average per week: $124,481.73
- Average per month: $539,420.83
- Average per complaint: $1,952.65
Additionally, we’ve decided to make a breakdown between the languages, where you can check the number of complaints received and the money recovered.
Breaking Records in 2024
Each year, we break some new records and in 2024, there are several notable numbers we’d like to brag about.
- Resolved complaints: Resolving a record-breaking 2,642 complaint cases (an 8% increase compared to the previous year)
- New complaints: We had 10,342 complaint cases processed (a 29% increase compared to the previous year)
- Recovered amount through the Affiliate Program complaints: We had a 90% increase in the number of received Affiliate Program related complaints. Additionally, we managed to recover $87,103.20, which is a 40% increase compared to 2023.
Additionally, this year, we’ve reached a fantastic milestone, crossing the $70 million mark in total returns. We’ve written about it in detail, so you can check it out.
Deep Dive Into Complaints
Players complain about different things, but most of the time, operators are late with withdrawals, or they have some issues related to their accounts. Below, you can check the most common reasons why people submit complaints as well as the number of complaints we’ve received during the year for each case.
- Payment issues: 6,251
- Account issues: 1,405
- Deposit issues: 994
- Bonus issues: 547
- Software issues: 408
- Other issues: 737
They are quick to respond to your case and also take all the cases they receive seriously.
Rejections Happen Too
Unfortunately, our AGCS team did not accept all of your complaints. We have complaint guidelines that all players must check before they contact us.
In 2024, our team rejected 7,027 complaints but 459 complaints were rejected once and then accepted, 83 of them were rejected twice and then accepted and 36 were rejected more than twice and then accepted.
Below are the most common reasons why we reject complaints as well as the total number of times that happened.
Most commonly, our team receives a complaint and reaches out to the submitter, requesting more details, but we get crickets. This happened 1,532 times in the entire year!
Players must understand that their involvement doesn’t end the moment they submit the complaint. Recovering your money or sorting any other issue related to casinos and sportsbook operators is a process and it requires you to work with our team if we reach out to you, asking for more details.
We got 958 complaints that were intended for a gambling authority, which we forwarded to the right addresses. When submitting complaints, players must make sure that they don’t submit a complaint they’ve already submitted. Also, common reasons for rejections is when players don’t provide enough information or evidence based on which we can take action.
Numbers Can Be Fun
Although helping players recover their money, use a bonus and get their other issues with operators sorted out is a serious business, we’re also looking at some of the unusual numbers that pop up during the year.
Below are the top three largest disputed complaints. We’re proud to announce that we managed to resolve them, returning each player an amount exceeding six figures.
Complaints are processed daily, and the total combined duration of all processed complaints during 2024 was 707,489 hours! The average complaint duration throughout 2024 was approximately 236 hours.
That being said, the shortest complaint was resolved in 5 minutes, while the longest lasted 123 days!
If I hadn't filed a complaint with AskGamblers, I doubt I would have received my withdrawal by now, and it could have taken even longer—possibly months. I truly appreciate AskGamblers’ assistance.
There isn’t any limit on how many complaints a user can submit as long as there aren’t the same complaints. Therefore, we have AGCS users who keep coming back and who have multiple resolved complaints. In 2024, one user submitted 16 complaints in total, recovering €4,800.00, but you can check some other active users who had multiple submissions and the amounts of money they managed to get back.
These are some astonishing numbers and we’d like to encourage all of you to submit complaints to our team if you can’t solve the issue with the operator or the affiliate program directly and you need someone to aid you in the process.
They responded rapidly and I felt heard. This is my only hope of getting my money from the casino. I appreciate anything you guys can do. Great support.
Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for! You must be interested in the operators that players complain about. Each year, the list is different, with some of the new gambling websites popping up and some of the regular ones reappearing.
This year players submitted complaints against 1,114 different operators listed on our site.
You can see some of the details such as the number of received, processed and resolved complaints as well as the success rate for each of the top 5 operators:
