“Aztecs” is a video slot manufactured by the company “Cozy Games” with a theme based on that great ancient civilization from which it takes its name, and since I still do not know many of the games developed by this supplier, today I decided to give it a try to this game, attracted mainly by those icons of multipliers that appear enclosed in the circles located at the bottom of the reels.

The structure of this slot is composed of 5 reels and 4 rows, the number of pay lines is 20, and it is a slot of “cascading reels” type, so that new symbols fall to fill empty spaces left by those who previously were involved in the formation of a line and then disappeared, but unlike other similar slots, multipliers do not increase with each additional line formed in the same turn, but such multiplier is chosen randomly between 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x at the end of each spin.

During the free spin round these multipliers change by 2x, 4x, 6x and 8x; even so, this feature does not seem to significantly influence the evolution of our balance and we must note that this is the only bonus round with which this game has been equipped; few times you get a multiplier over 2x and it is so hard to get a single round larger than 5 spins, even I think it is not easy to trigger the feature.

I really thought that this slot is not exactly fun and I cannot even glimpse some potential to win big in it, and this is mainly due to the weak pay table where the price of a line of 5 of a kind does not differ much of the price of a line of 4 of a kind and this, in turn, is not much different from one of 3 of a kind, in such a way that it is practically the same to form a short, medium or long line since the payout will never be a big win.

In short, “Aztecs” slot is a game where your balance usually decreases slowly but consistently and during the development of your session, it seems there are not many things that can happen that allow you to recover those accumulated losses.

“Aztecs” is an average game in my humble opinion.
