If you’ve had your fill of side bets and extra features and want a three-hand, high-RTP online blackjack variant, check out American Blackjack from Habanero.
This four-deck game sticks to many classic blackjack rules, with the dealer standing on soft 17, and options for Hit, Stand, Double, and Split. There’s no surrender feature, which is common, but we were disappointed that resplits weren’t allowed.
Still, American Blackjack is a well-designed, fast-paced variant, with spaces for three hands, large, clearly legible card faces, and an elegant gaming table. Click “Rebet” to jump into the next hand when one finishes, or choose ”New Game” to set new wagers by choosing a chip size and clicking one of the three player spaces.
The layout is more or less the same on mobile, but it adds a more immersive, tactile quality, with the graphics looking sharper on small, high-res screens. We definitely preferred the mobile version, and with support for iOS and Android, you can play American Blackjack online on most devices.

RTP and Limits
The American Blackjack game has a 99.65% RTP and low volatility, producing a 0.35% house edge with optimal strategy. Blackjacks pay 3:2, and insurance pays 2:1, but there are no additional side bets to boost payout possibilities and vary volatility. All other wins return even money.
Online casinos can set their own minimum and maximum wagers, but many of the versions we found had a minimum bet of €20 and a maximum bet of €1,000. It’s a hefty minimum for casual players.
