"221B Baker Street" is a mystery slot based on the familiar story of Sherlock Holmes and manufactured by the company "Merkur Gaming", this slot has a layout of 5 x 3 reels, 20 paylines and an attractive dark design,

symbol wild appears at a relentless pace but apparently this is not enough for this slot to get good ratings on casinos, apparently the low popularity of this game is mainly because most of the time this slot is dedicated to eat the players’ coins and this issue in my concept has several causes. The first, of course, rates pretty tight on paytable, it is also true that there are various combinations that are paid from only two of a kind, but if you think a little more, getting combinations of 4 or 5 of a kind is a difficult task, and here comes my theory about second cause, which would be excessive scatter symbols constantly obstructing the formation of longer lines, not to mention that they don’t seem to trigger many special features, which became my third cause; there are 3 scatters:

- Watson Scatter: an instant payout is generated by the occurrence of two or more of these symbols regardless of their location, 2 x pays 1 times your total bet, 3 x pays 5 times your total bet, and if you ask me, I'd say it's pretty difficult to obtain 3 of these scatters as to think about getting 4 or 5.

- Duel Bonus Scatter: on the image of this scatter you’ll see Holmes and Watson back to back, once you get 3 of these scatters located in any position, you make transition to a screen where our characters play an aim’s duel, and after first round you decide if you want to take the prize or play another round and the value of all prizes are revealed so that you have a good basis for taking that decision. The problem I have with this round is that amount of awards, honestly, I do not think tempt anyone.

- Big Ben Scatter: 3, 4, or 5 of these scatters trigger a round of up to 6, 14 or 20 free spins with multipliers of up to 3 x, 4 x and 5 x, respectively, and take note that it says "up to", which means that after you have finally triggered the feature, you'll need a little more luck to get the best amount of spins with the best multiplier, but that's not all. In triggering this feature it does matter the location of scatters as it should appear from left to right starting from the left most reel, raising further the level of difficulty.

To be consistent with my comments, only remains for me to say that I join to opinion of the majority that rate this slot below the average.
