Paf Lowers Loss Limit for Young People

One of Finland’s most prominent gaming operators, Paf, announced that it had lowered its mandatory annual loss limit for 18-24 demographic, slashing it to €10,000. The company said the reduction is intended to strengthen responsible gambling measures and shield young people playing at Paf’s venues.

Paf Leading the Responsible Gambling Internationally

In its efforts to minimise the gambling harm risks for young players, Paf has decided to lower its mandatory annual loss limit from €20,000 to €10,000, as it “takes a stronger grip” on the issue of responsible gambling.

“Therefore, this is a good measure that strengthens our take on responsible gaming,” said Jenna Ekström, Paf’s Responsible Gaming Manager.

Apart from thinking about young people when creating new measures, Paf is the only internationally present gaming company that has introduced an annual mandatory loss limit for all online customers.

“We are convinced that mandatory loss limits are among the most decisive and responsible actions a gaming company can take,” noted Daniela Johansson, Deputy CEO and Chief Responsibility Officer at Paf.

The operator’s loss limit for young people has already been implemented and is now valid for all youths on Paf’s gaming sites and all other gaming sites owned by Paf. The loss limit covers all gaming categories without exceptions.
