Razor Returns Theme, Audio and Symbols
If you’ve played Razor Shark, you’ll find plenty that’s familiar in the Razor Returns slot. The imagery is very similar in both games but the symbols are much sharper in the sequel.
Once again, we’re heading deep below the waves. Flanked by an array of colourful underwater plant life, the reels are made up of symbols with a nautical theme.
These include an anchor, compass, periscope and diving helmet. They’re joined by blue, green, pink and orange sharks. Best paying is the orange shark symbol which awards a 7.5 x bet payout for 5 in combination.
Joining the standard symbols is a Mechanical Great White Shark Wild and the Torpedo Scatter which can detonate the main bonus feature. Here’s what the paytable looks like.
- Anchor: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.1, 0.2 or 0.8 x bet

Razor Returns Mobile
The Razor Returns mobile version looks superb. The visuals are super sharp, even with the extra row added to the game engine compared to the original. You can play the game on iOS and Android tablets and smartphones as well as on desktop, laptops and MACs.
Razor Returns Bonus Features
If you like slot games that offer plenty of features, you’ve come to the right place with Razor Returns. There’s plenty going on here which keeps things nice and fresh. Highlights include mystery transforming symbols, nudging symbols, instant win prizes, multipliers and free spins. Let’s take a closer look.
Mystery Symbols
Special stacks of Mystery Symbols can appear in stacks of up to 5 symbols high. When they appear in either the base game or the free spins, they trigger the Nudge and Reveal feature.
Nudge and Reveal
The Mystery Symbols from the triggering spin transform into the new symbols. Symbols that can transform will be paying symbols, Wilds or Golden Shark symbols. Paying symbols deliver a standard payout if they form a winning combination. They then nudge down their reel, 1 position at a time on the spins that follow.
Razor Reveal
If the Mystery Symbols turn into Golden Sharks rather than standard paying symbols, you’ll bring the Razor Reveal feature into play. Each Golden Shark symbol on display then spins and reveals a prize. Here’s what they can deliver.
- Instant Prize Symbols: These coins deliver payouts worth between 1 and 5,000 x bet.
- Multiplier Symbols: These multipliers boost the payout by 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
- Collector Symbols: The value of all other Instant Prize symbols is collected by the Collector Symbol which then transforms into an Instant Prize symbol. All Instant Prize symbols are removed from the game grid once they’ve been collected. Any empty reel positions will also spin through all of the possible prizes.
- Convertor Symbols: When this symbols hits, 1 standard symbol is picked at random. All examples of this symbol appearing on the reels become Golden Shark symbols. This in turn triggers the Razor Reveal feature.
Free Spins
Land 3 or more Torpedo Scatters on the same spin (or via the Razor Reveal feature) to activate the Free Spins feature. The more triggering scatters, the better the multiplier to start the round: 3, 4 or 5 scatters will result in a 1x, 5x or 25x starting multiplier respectively.
You can also gamble and try and improve the value of the multiplier. If your gamble is unsuccessful, you won’t just lose your multiplier, you’ll lose all your free spins and return to the base game.
At the start of your free spins, reels 2 and 4 contain Mystery Symbols. These nudge 1 row at a time on each fee spin. Land a winning combination and the payout is boosted by the active multiplier. You won’t receive a set number of free spins here. Instead, the feature continues until all the Mystery Symbols have dropped off the bottom of the game grid.
Keep a special eye out for Nudge Up symbols during the free spins round. As their name suggests, the Mystery Stacks nudge up when these appear, in effect, adding extra free spins to your total.

Razor Returns Slot Verdict
Push Gaming has taken Razor Shark and made everything bigger and more outlandish in the Razor Returns slot. That’s true of both the design and gameplay.
There was little to complain about as far as the sound and visuals of the original were concerned but Razor Returns is ever better. There’s a beautiful, high-def look to all the imagery here which is superb. That’s even with an extra 5 symbols on display on each spin. It’s all very familiar but also completely fresh.
It’s a similar story with the gameplay. There was plenty going on in Razor Shark but there’s ever more variety in Razor Returns. The Free Spins feature is a corker thanks to the wealth of modifiers that can spice up the play. Bigger and bolder is also the order of the day when it comes to 100,000 x bet max wins too.
Add all that together and you have a terrific overall package. Push Gaming could have easily just gone through the motions in creating this sequel. Instead, they’ve created something really impressive. If you enjoyed Razor Shark, you’ll likely love Razor Returns.
