The theme of this game made me giggle straight away, always a good start and that was bolstered by the unbelievable fact I hit on 66x my stake on my very first spin on the game... how often does that happen?! Because of this I wanted to check the paytable straight away (I usually wait til I've done a couple of hundred spins and got a "feel" for the game first) and amazingly I had actually managed a five of a kind of the games top keg symbol right away. Of course that's the only time I've had it so far, but I won't complain!
I managed to get the free spins mode quite quickly which has a few neat quirks - for a start you get unlimited free spins until you "run out of beer", this translates as until you have collected enough of the pint symbols which are added to the third reel during this mode. You start off without any multiplier but get a 2x after the first pint of beer lands followed by a 5x for any spins after the second pint. Once a third and final pint drops you get a single spin with a 10x multiplier. I'm sure it will take a long time for me to actually see anything good land on that single spin but the fact I managed a huge five of a kind on my very first spin on the game proves that sometimes just one is all you need!
I haven't seen many Playson games before but this one has definitely reignited my interest in them and I'll definitely be giving more of their machines a try very soon.
The bonus mode took me a little longer to see, you wouldn't think it would be too hard as you simply need to land the B O N U S letters in sequence from left to right anywhere on the reels however it seems to be a very rare event which suggests the reels are stacked in such a way as to make such a combination highly unlikely. I was a little disappointed then when it did finally arrive and I got to see the "classic slot" but only won a fairly pitiful 20x my stake, though it was kind of fun.
