Royal Coins 2: Hold and Win slot runs on Playson software across 3 reels and up to 5 pay lines inspired by hardcore old-school, fruit 3-liners classic. The slot is a part of Playson’s Timeless Fruits series and is a sequel to the original Royal Coins slot which was fairly successful which is why now, we have a follow-up release. If you want to see the royal juiciness that these coins can deliver you can do so at any of the Playson Casinos for real, or you can do it here for fun.

How to Play Royal Coins 2: Hold and Win Slot?

Pharaoh’s treasures are widely known for being vast and you can find and grab some for yourself, but before you go looking, make sure that you set your bets.

  • Bet +/- will let you manipulate your bet size and either increase or decrease it.
  • Spin is there to set the reels in motion once the bets have been chosen.
  • A is the Autoplay, and you can use it to set the reels moving automatically, for a chosen number of times, without any interruptions.
  • Thunder On/Off will turn on or off the faster reel movement.

Slot Features

Lucky 7s is your Wild symbol that can help form winning combinations by substituting for all the other symbols in the game except for the Bonus and Royal Bonus.

Bonus & Royal Bonus

Coins are your Bonus symbols, and you will need at least 3 of them if you want to trigger the feature. Once triggered, you will get 3 respins to kick it off, and during the feature, only the Bonus symbols will be landing on the reels. Each new symbol that lands will reset the respins count back to 3, and the feature ends when you run out of respins. The symbols in the feature will come with a random value assigned that can be x1, x2, x5, x10 or x15 the bet.

The Royal Bonus Coins can land only on reel 2 and once they land, they will stick to the reels. Additionally, each Royal symbol has the ability to reap the values of all other Bonus symbols that you have on the grid, and add them to its own value after which the Bonus symbols will disappear to make room for new symbols. Royal Bonus symbol is also able to gather the jackpot values including Mini, Minor, Major and Grand values.

Pile of Gold

Any Coin symbol, Royal or not, that lands during the base game has a chance of triggering the Pile of Gold feature that will add enough Bonus symbols that will help you trigger the Bonus round.

Summary

Royal Coins 2 might be a simple game, especially having in mind that it runs only on 3 reels, but it packs quite a feature punch as it offers Wild and Bonus symbols, 2 Bonus features, in-game jackpots and a shortcut trigger to the bonus feature. It is not unusual to see these slots to be of high volatility, the same as this one, but what we’d like to see improved is the RTP which is slightly below the industry’s average and max exposure that stops at x4259 the bet.

Royal Coins 2: Same Kingdom, Different Day, 48x!

If you played the first Royal Coins and Royal Fortunator then expect to find similarities on Royal Coins 2.

Allow me to spin you my story of Royal Coins 2, a slot game that promised to make me feel like royalty but left me feeling more like a royal clown. I was ready to conquer the reels like a medieval knight storming an enemy castle, only to find myself in a 3 x 3 fruit salad situation with a crown on top!

Now, don't get in doubt, I love a good fruit medley as much as the next slot person, but this game takes it to a whole new level. It's like the royal chef went wild in the palace kitchen, tossing cherries, lemons and plums onto the reels with carelessness to save time. The grapes are clearly the nobility of the fruit world. I half expected to see a pineapple wearing a tiny crown!

The game's "lady fanning a royal" for air is supposed to be the golden crown coin. I did wait for that little golden nugget to grace me with it's presence!

For the jackpots there were the mini, minor, major, and grand! A situation of a royal family reunion where everyone's fighting over a will of who gets what in an inheritance. I was gunning for the grand like with every player out there, of course. Who wouldn't want to be the king or queen of the casino? My royal aspirations were cut short. I ended up with the equivalent of a servant's quarterly wages......a 48x my bet. A bit short of $0.60 from my bonus win!

The bonus feature for landing those three coins felt like trying to align the stars. When I finally triggered it, I was ready for a coronation ceremony. Instead, I got a game of "catch the coin" that was somewhat exciting. Each new coin that lands are collected by the golden coin and resets the counter of respins!

After all that pomp and circumstance, I walked away with a grand total of $14.40. That's right, folks. I could barely afford a crown of good material from the store with my winnings. I was just $0.60 short of $15.

In the end, Royal Coins 2 is like that distant royal relative who promises you the world but leaves you with a commemorative teaspoon.

It's got all the trappings of royalty. The crown, the coins, the fancy fruits but the experience is more "royal clown" than "king of the casino."

Would I play it again? Well, let's just say I'm not ready to abdicate my throne as a slot player just yet. But next time, I might look for a slot game that doesn't make me feel like I'm trying to squeeze blood from a stone fruit.

On my royal decree, I bestow upon Royal Coins 2 a middling 7 out of 10 crowns. It's not quite the jewel in the crown of slot games, but it's not off with it's head either.
