Slot Features
The game offers some basic features such as Wilds, Scatters, Multipliers, and Free Spins round but they tend to get pretty rewarding.
Wild
Dance Party symbol is the Wild and it substitutes for all the symbols except for the Diamond scatter. The Wilds appear only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Scatter
Scatter is Diamond that appears on all reels. Bonus feature is triggered when you land a minimum of 5 Scatters anywhere on the reels unlike other games where bonus round is mostly triggered by landing 3 Scatters.
Progressive Multiplier Spins
Once the feature is triggered you will enter the Free Spins round and get awarded with multipliers whose value is decided based on the number of triggering spins. With 5 Scatters you start with x1 multiplier, with 6 you start at x2, and with 7 you will start at x3 multiplier.
The round will start with 15 spins, and after each spin the win multiplier will increase by x1, x2, x3, and it will rise until it reaches x30. If the round ends with a multiplier less than x10 the bet that triggered the round, you will automatically get another x10 multiplier.
Additional 5 Scatters can retrigger the feature and award another 15 spins. It can go until the maximum of 60 spins cap is reached.
Summary
Dance Party is highly volatile game with 96.50% RTP, and a maximum payout capped at x36450 which is owed mostly to Progressive Multiplier Spins feature, and that’s what we liked. Progressive Multiplier is not something innovative for Pragmatic Play, and we’ve seen it before, but each time we see it, we love it. Theme is a bit old and exhausted, but the features and win potential is what really counts.
Dance part is a 5-reel 3 row slot from Pragmatic play which works on all ways pay mechanism. All ways pay means there aren’t any fixed paylines and every time you land 3 or more identical symbols starting from the leftmost most reel it qualifies as a win. The game has 4 major symbols and these pay from 7.5x to 4x your bet size on connections of 5 of a kind. The minor symbols are A, K, Q and J which pay from 2.5x to 2x your bet on hits of 5 of a kind. The base game can be played from a starting bet of 20 cents. The slot has a stacked symbol feature which assists you in getting big hits even when you land low paying symbols.
The bonus game can be triggered by landing 5 or more scatters and you are awarded with 15 free spins. The bonus game starts with a starting multiplier of 1x and with every spin you increase your multiplier with the final spin giving you a 15x multiplier. If during these spins you land 5 or more scatters you will be awarded 15 more spins and your multipliers will increase with the same rate. You can have a maximum of 3 retriggers which means a total of 60 free spins and 60x multiplier. If you land the bonus with 6 scatters then you will start with a 2x multiplier and every spin will increase your multiplier with multiples of 2. Starting a bonus with 7 scatters will give you a starting multiplier of 3x and every spin will see your multiplier increase by 3x. The 6 and 7 scatter bonuses also have a limit of 60 free spins and multiplier limit of 60x.
I have no complaints with the base game here as it serves as much as it can. You get regular hits ranging from 15x to 30x and since you have the stacked symbols feature, we can also get a few 100x to 150x hits. The bonus on the other hand is usually disappointing as it can take 300 to 400 spins which is a lot for a game like this. The bonuses don't pay more than 70x and you have to rely on retriggers to get a good hit.
The requirement of 5 scatters to trigger a bonus on a 5-reel 3 row slot is too harsh in my opinion. Unless you get a 6 or a 7 scatter bonus you hardly get a good hit. When your bonus reaches anywhere above 10x multiplier, you don’t get any connections apart from 3 of a kind.
