Fruit Salad Jackpot is a 3-reel, 1 payline slot machine which possesses the great GamesOS qualities and has an attractive and well-structured interface where everything is well-visible, readable, the graphics quality is quite high and the used fruit symbols like cherry, banana, melon, plum are very nice and properly coloured. Even though I really like GamesOS’s classic slots and their appearances and Fruit Salad Jackpot is no exception but they could be more different from each other. For example this slot uses 4 symbols that Hot 7’s offers as gaming emblems and they’re not similar to each other but identical. Perhaps the developer follows the old saying ‘Do not fix what isn’t broken’ but in my opinion they should be more imaginative and try to create disparate looking slots which would make more varied their portfolio.
The game uses fix coin value which is €0.25 and because the Progressive Jackpot only can be won (by Triple Bars) by using maximum number of coins (5) it requires €1.25 total bet per spin which is quite high and it’s a little bit out of my comfort zone but sometimes the greediness in me is bigger than common sense so occasionally I try my luck on it. Other than the Jackpot the second best award here is 1500 coins what 3 appearing Silver Bar can provide but more interestingly how the fruits and their winning combinations are working.
Strangely, we get a little freedom with fruits wins as we don’t have to collect 3 identical fruits to gain a win but they can be mixed with each other. For example if one Plum arrives on the first reel it doesn’t matter what fruits are on the other reels (they even can be empty) we win as if 3 Plums would have landed on the payline and get rewarded according to this. This working system really makes easier to witness much more wins on the screen and mainly because of this the slot doesn’t tend to run into cold streaks. On the other hand the importance of the first reel is increased because for example a single Plum on the second reel doesn’t cause any win. So Plum, Lemon, Cherry and Melon are those fruits which are working like this but achieving wins with Banana and Apple it’s more difficult as we need to collect 2 of them (on the first two reels) to see any profits from that situations. The Bars follows the ancient rule and they need to arrive to reels in trio format to have any worth.
As I’ve said, it not too often happens when the slot brings non-winning spins for long time and even if the wins are there relatively frequently but most of the times they’re just fruit successes and playing with €1.25 the usual profits are €2.50-€6.50 and sometimes the better paying combinations like to hide themselves. Once I spent a quarter of hour but getting only the less paying fruits and my balance started to get angry that only one direction it moves when the Bars was getting moving and the next few minutes I got back two ‘Any Bars’ and their combined value was €175. That’s how this game and this higher minimum bets works.
Naturally, there’s nothing for free in life and we have to pay the prize for the chance of winning Jackpot but I still think this €1.25 min. stake is a little bit high and I suppose it deters some players from visiting this slot but otherwise it’s a really great game which can offer all the qualities what a well-working, real good classic machine should and in my opinion this really deserves to be played with and that’s why if someone likes traditional 1-payline machines and owns a flexible bankroll this slot can be a very appropriate gambling partner for some hopefully remarkable play sessions.
