The Da Vinci Diamonds is 5 reels and 20 pay-lines video slot powered by IGT software. This is the Da Vinci Diamonds is an art-themed slot. The slot has cascading reels and besides diamonds, it features all of the Leonardo’s portraits. The reels are set in an ornate picture frame against the backdrop which is completely black. Give this slot a free spin here on this page or visit any of the IGT Casinos to play for real money.

Before you immerse yourself in the world of art you are advised to set your bets. Since the number of lines is fixed here, all you can set is the coins size which ranges from 1 to 100, and it can be regulated by clicking on "Line Bet +/-". If you click on "Spin" you will set the reels in motion, and "Auto Spin" option will turn the reels without interruption for a chosen number of times.

This slot has a Wild symbol, a Bonus symbol, Scatter symbols and two bonus features which include Tumbling Reels and Free Spins. Might not sound as much but you can pile up a decent amount of money.

The Wild symbol in the game is a pink diamond with a word Wild written all over. It can substitute for all symbols except for the Scatters and Bonus symbol.

There are 3 scatter symbols and they are all paintings of certain ladies. They all form its own scatter wins and they are all multiplied by the total bet. If there is more than one scatter win you will be paid out the highest one.

Tumbling Reels is a feature which is basically cascading reels feature. Whenever you hit a win the symbols involved will disappear and more new symbols will fall to fill in those gaps. These can create new winning pay-lines and create more wins.

Free Spins feature will be activated when you land bonus symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3. There is no additional multiplier awarded but tumbling reels are active even during this feature. At the beginning you will be awarded with 6 free spins. This feature can be reactivated and the number of these additional free spins depend on the number of bonus symbols on the reels. The maximum number of free spins you can win is up to 300.

DISLIKED

Da Vinci Diamonds is a video slot game from IGT. There are couple of Da Vinci`s most popular portraits used as symbols in this game. And who said that there is a lack of this kind of slots that use fine art as inspiration in the online world? This game uses one of my favourite features the cascading reels. But after playing for a while, even though I had some hits I realized that this game is not willing to pay. The payouts were really weak and most of the times I was landing the lowest paying symbols. The only thing that was good in the Da Vinci Diamonds video slot game was the superb graphics and that is it.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a 5 reels and 20 pay lines video slot game. The highest win that I managed to land was 1000 coins for 5 symbols of Mona Lisa in one spin, where the next one was losing. The cascading reels are a really nice feature, where all the symbols which are part of a winning combination disappear and new ones come along. I do not think that I had a decent win from this feature during my whole session.

It also took me really a while to activate the free spins. I got the bonus symbols on the first, second and the third reel. This feature is interesting because there are some other portraits used as symbols here but I just saw them running down and never stopping on the reels. I won only 7 euros from this feature, so you can imagine my disappointment.

Da Vinci Diamonds seems like a nice game, but that is just at the beginning. I would say that there are many other slots that are better than this one. I do not believe that I will play this game again, so I leave it up to you to decide.

I adore Microgamings "The Finer Reels of Life", but it's certainly not because of it's attempt to portray high class and poshness - it's those lovely diamond symbols that offer the biggest wins of any Microgaming 243 ways game that sucked me in! I'm sure there is a subsection of the gaming community who appreciate that kind of theme though, and perhaps that is the demographic IGT is targeting with their "Da Vinci Diamonds" series of slot games which are adorned with the eponymous artists paintings and a myriad of expensive jewel symbols completing the reel strips.

Although this game first appeared in land casinos it isn't one that I remember having seen out and about in the past myself. It must be a popular slot though because there have been several updates and variations including my personal favourite "Double Da Vinci Diamonds" which stacks two sets of reels on top of each other to give a greater number of winning opportunities on every spin of the reels.

This was the first game to make me realize that the "Rolling Reels" mechanic that Microgaming have used so many times was not infact their own invention - I'm quite sure that this game came out long before any of the MG slots that use the technique, although I wasn't aware of that until relatively recently. It's called "Tumbling Reels" here but works in exactly the same way, so if you enjoy games like BreakAway you might well want to take a look at this one to see where it all began!

This isn't a game where you necessarily need to spend a lot of time in the bonus round to be sure of a winning session as the RTP feels quite high in the base game as well. The highest combination is the five wilds which pays 250x your stake, but the gap between this and the next symbol is enormous - the spherical jewel pays just 10x your bet and there's no multiplier during the free spins either though the tumbling reels do make it possible to win several times from a single spin.

I understand that many of these IGT games are getting quite old now and you can't fail to notice the graphical quality is far inferior to current releases by other slot providers and even from IGT themselves. Although the colours are bright there clearly aren't enough of them to do the symbols justice and the result makes the game look as if it belongs on a computer at least a decade old. I think IGT would do well to give their games a "HD overhaul" as Microgaming have been doing recently with some of their classic titles.

I really feel these kinds of games work better with pay ways rather than pay lines. Just like NetEnt's Gonzos Quest there are an awful lot of spins on this game where I think I should have won but I haven't and it can be very disappointing at times.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a portrait masterpiece of 20 Paylines presenting valuable jewels and 3 worthy paintings.........the Mona Lisa being the most popular and high paying!!! To all of us Canadian's there are restrictions towards IGT slots, however there is hope for us as we have our online Canadian casino called Play OLG. Through there, we all can exhibit other platforms such as Bally, Aristocrat, IGT and many others! IGT, being my least favorite in most parts for it's hard to earn bonus triggers and low pay rates through bonus features, I find Da Vinci Diamonds to be the slot in the middle ranks of other slots!!

The only reason why I put up with this nice yet difficult video slot is that there other variations just like this......Double Da Vinci Diamonds and the Da Vinci Diamonds where in free spins the paintings are changed and they all pay scatters (bonus symbols too) while they cascade down for more wins! It is a beautiful cycle!!! Speaking of cascades, Da Vinci Diamonds has this feature.....if I make combinations other symbols fall to replace them, but here is the moment where I want one bonus symbol to fall where it is missing or have two bonuses to fall after my first win, especially on reels one and two. My mind says to "give me that bonus every time!" a potential trigger might appear.

As this is IGT, my average wins are not very big.........they are in the $15 range to $50. On rare occasions my line hits like 5 Mona Lisa's pay better than the feature itself sometimes but the best part in Da Vinci Diamonds is when I collect 5 worthy combinations plus a follow up 3 left to right adjacent bonus symbols after the cascade!! The violins play this rich melody and ends with the violins slowly dying down. That is Leonardo's style if he played!!! Even though IGT is the least likable slot, I am no stranger to the likes of other Da Vinci Slots but I will try not to drag my local casino knowledge with the online universe, that is another story! Da Vinci Diamonds is a 7.5!!!

DISLIKED

Dead spins galore when I spin for a long time!! Another would be bonus symbols appearing left to right of the first 3 reels not landing on any of my 20 paylines OR if I am missing a bonus symbol on one of the 3 reels. It just cannot be bothered to trigger!!
