Da Vinci Diamonds Slot IGT (WagerWorks)

Da Vinci Diamonds Review - Editor’s Impressions

Da Vinci Diamonds takes you back to the Renaissance era in Da Vinci’s world. Besides the colourful diamonds and Da Vinci’s classic paintings, it has Wilds, Scatters and Bonus symbols. Special features include Tumbling Reels and Free Spins.

We like that Free Spins can be retriggered by Bonus symbols. Special reels with increased symbol payouts are at play. On top of that, the bonus round can be active for up to a whopping 300 Free Spins. Go through this Da Vinci Diamonds slot review and explore its features with us.

Overview of Da Vinci Diamonds Game

IGT developed the Da Vinci Diamonds game. It’s a video slot with five reels, three rows and 20 paylines. The standard game has feature symbols like Bonus and Wilds, which extend to paying Scatters in the Free Spins round. The Da Vinci Diamonds logo is the highest paying symbol, followed by the paintings and then three different gems.

Da Vinci Diamonds RTP, Payout and Volatility

The Da Vinci Diamonds slot machine has a 94.94% RTP. It has low to medium volatility and a maximum payout of 5,000x your bet. When playing the Da Vinci Diamonds real money slot, you can bet from £0.20 to £200 per spin.

Da Vinci Diamonds Graphics and Gaming Experience

When playing the Da Vinci Diamonds slot demo, you’ll notice that it’s an old slot but maintains quality graphics. At the same time, it takes you back to the Mediaeval time with the gold frame surrounding the reels and the symbols that include Leonardo’s iconic paintings.

There isn’t much background music, but arcade-game-like sounds when you press the spin button, symbols fall into place and on a winning spin.

Da Vinci Diamonds Bonus Features

You can enjoy Tumbling Reels and Free Spins when playing in a Da Vinci Diamonds online casino. Tumbling Reels occur after every spin win. Winning symbols disappear and make space for new ones in one spin. The Wild symbol is the Wild logo, only shows up in the base game on the second, third, and fourth reel, and substitutes for all other symbols besides the Bonus symbol.

We have more details on Free Spins below:

Da Vinci Diamonds Free Spins

You’ll get six Free Spins when Bonus symbols land on the first three reels. These can be retriggered if more bonus symbols appear during the bonus round. With three Bonus symbols, you can get two to four extra spins.

Four bonus symbols retrigger four to 10 additional spins, and five retriggers six to 15. The bonus round ends when there aren’t any Free Spins left and when you’ve reached 300 Free Spins or the maximum payout.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a video slot game from IGT. There are couple of Da Vinci`s most popular portraits used as symbols in this game. And who said that there is a lack of this kind of slots that use fine art as inspiration in the online world? This game uses one of my favourite features the cascading reels. But after playing for a while, even though I had some hits I realized that this game is not willing to pay. The payouts were really weak and most of the times I was landing the lowest paying symbols. The only thing that was good in the Da Vinci Diamonds video slot game was the superb graphics and that is it.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a 5 reels and 20 pay lines video slot game. The highest win that I managed to land was 1000 coins for 5 symbols of Mona Lisa in one spin, where the next one was losing. The cascading reels are a really nice feature, where all the symbols which are part of a winning combination disappear and new ones come along. I do not think that I had a decent win from this feature during my whole session.

It also took me really a while to activate the free spins. I got the bonus symbols on the first, second and the third reel. This feature is interesting because there are some other portraits used as symbols here but I just saw them running down and never stopping on the reels. I won only 7 euros from this feature, so you can imagine my disappointment.

Da Vinci Diamonds seems like a nice game, but that is just at the beginning. I would say that there are many other slots that are better than this one. I do not believe that I will play this game again, so I leave it up to you to decide.

I adore Microgamings "The Finer Reels of Life", but it's certainly not because of it's attempt to portray high class and poshness - it's those lovely diamond symbols that offer the biggest wins of any Microgaming 243 ways game that sucked me in! I'm sure there is a subsection of the gaming community who appreciate that kind of theme though, and perhaps that is the demographic IGT is targeting with their "Da Vinci Diamonds" series of slot games which are adorned with the eponymous artists paintings and a myriad of expensive jewel symbols completing the reel strips.

Although this game first appeared in land casinos it isn't one that I remember having seen out and about in the past myself. It must be a popular slot though because there have been several updates and variations including my personal favourite "Double Da Vinci Diamonds" which stacks two sets of reels on top of each other to give a greater number of winning opportunities on every spin of the reels.

This was the first game to make me realize that the "Rolling Reels" mechanic that Microgaming have used so many times was not infact their own invention - I'm quite sure that this game came out long before any of the MG slots that use the technique, although I wasn't aware of that until relatively recently. It's called "Tumbling Reels" here but works in exactly the same way, so if you enjoy games like BreakAway you might well want to take a look at this one to see where it all began!

This isn't a game where you necessarily need to spend a lot of time in the bonus round to be sure of a winning session as the RTP feels quite high in the base game as well. The highest combination is the five wilds which pays 250x your stake, but the gap between this and the next symbol is enormous - the spherical jewel pays just 10x your bet and there's no multiplier during the free spins either though the tumbling reels do make it possible to win several times from a single spin.

I understand that many of these IGT games are getting quite old now and you can't fail to notice the graphical quality is far inferior to current releases by other slot providers and even from IGT themselves. Although the colours are bright there clearly aren't enough of them to do the symbols justice and the result makes the game look as if it belongs on a computer at least a decade old. I think IGT would do well to give their games a "HD overhaul" as Microgaming have been doing recently with some of their classic titles.

I really feel these kinds of games work better with pay ways rather than pay lines. Just like NetEnt's Gonzos Quest there are an awful lot of spins on this game where I think I should have won but I haven't and it can be very disappointing at times.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a portrait masterpiece of 20 Paylines presenting valuable jewels and 3 worthy paintings.........the Mona Lisa being the most popular and high paying!!! To all of us Canadian's there are restrictions towards IGT slots, however there is hope for us as we have our online Canadian casino called Play OLG. Through there, we all can exhibit other platforms such as Bally, Aristocrat, IGT and many others! IGT, being my least favorite in most parts for it's hard to earn bonus triggers and low pay rates through bonus features, I find Da Vinci Diamonds to be the slot in the middle ranks of other slots!!

The only reason why I put up with this nice yet difficult video slot is that there other variations just like this......Double Da Vinci Diamonds and the Da Vinci Diamonds where in free spins the paintings are changed and they all pay scatters (bonus symbols too) while they cascade down for more wins! It is a beautiful cycle!!! Speaking of cascades, Da Vinci Diamonds has this feature.....if I make combinations other symbols fall to replace them, but here is the moment where I want one bonus symbol to fall where it is missing or have two bonuses to fall after my first win, especially on reels one and two. My mind says to "give me that bonus every time!" a potential trigger might appear.

As this is IGT, my average wins are not very big.........they are in the $15 range to $50. On rare occasions my line hits like 5 Mona Lisa's pay better than the feature itself sometimes but the best part in Da Vinci Diamonds is when I collect 5 worthy combinations plus a follow up 3 left to right adjacent bonus symbols after the cascade!! The violins play this rich melody and ends with the violins slowly dying down. That is Leonardo's style if he played!!! Even though IGT is the least likable slot, I am no stranger to the likes of other Da Vinci Slots but I will try not to drag my local casino knowledge with the online universe, that is another story! Da Vinci Diamonds is a 7.5!!!

Dead spins galore when I spin for a long time!! Another would be bonus symbols appearing left to right of the first 3 reels not landing on any of my 20 paylines OR if I am missing a bonus symbol on one of the 3 reels. It just cannot be bothered to trigger!!

Da Vinci Diamonds is an IGT slot and even though I don't play it a great deal these days it was one of the slots I used to play all the time when I first started playing slots. I most recently played it at Bet Victor Casino and the great thing now about this slot is that it has been brought out on mobile, so whenever I play it now its on my iPad.

Da Vinci Diamonds is a 20 line slot and it has one of my favourite slot features - that is tumbling reels. Every time you have a win the winnings symbols disappear dropping down new symbols giving you even more chances to win, which is why I love this feature so much. The slot is not that much of a big payer, I think I have only had in excess of 100 times my bet once, from what I can remember, I think I won about £25 in a single spin and that was from a minimum bet of 20p. Wins are small but generally they come in quite often

The free spins are really hard to get. You have to get the bonus symbol on a winning payline on reels 1 2 and 3 and when you do get them you only get awarded with 6 to start off with however you can retrigger the free spins multiple times but to be honest there has been plenty of times where I have come out at the end with just the basic 6 spins and hardly won anything from them. If I am honest I don't play this slot just to get the free spins because I actually find the main game better. The maximum amount I've spent per spin on this slot is £1, and I cant say that I really benefited from it!

Da Vinci Diamonds is a very popular game this days and I am not surprised. Sometimes when you least expect it this game can really shock you. With its theme of art it certainly has beautiful drawings, but I feel as it they needed to be in high definition rather than what it is.

I notice this days anything to do with Da Vinci is very popular. It is like only now we started appreciating his genius and doing things in his name and honor. I think it was Dan brown who brought him back and damn he has done a good job. My art teacher in school really liked Da Vinci's work and he would always talk about it and show us the drawings. It's to bad that I was not smart enough to appreciate and learn a bit, instead I ignored it and looked cool.

I played this game many times and it all started from getting a bunch off free spins for my deposit. I dont know if they do it on purpose where a player would win in the free spins but would lose when he plays for cash, but I won. Everything was going well and the rolling reel were helping me getting wins. I even got a feature and made around €20 in total.

After that I played and it is always hit and miss. One day it would be complete rubbish and the next it will be awesome. But my favorite moments are when you dont expect to win and all of a sudden you get the feature and win a lot. It happened to me, I was messing around and had about €5 on my account. I opened this game and put it on the smallest bet. A few spins later not even wanting to win I got the bonus via the rolling reel feature. I got my 6 free spins and if you get pictures anywhere on the reels, three of them or more you still win. So if you get Mona Lisa on 1, 4 and 5 reels you still get three of them. So as my free spins went I got more free spin, totaling to 11 free spins and won a total of over €40. What a nice surprise I thought.

But there is also a bad side to this game and it could really piss you off. You could play for hours and not get the feature and when you do get it you win less than €10. Because of all this I am going to rate this game 6 out of 10.

Hope you enjoyed my review and have a nice day :)

Da Vinci Diamonds slot combines the beauty of art with other kind of richness that manifested in precious stones. The overall picture is very colourful (maybe a little too much) and we can see some famous paintings like Mona Lisa and different gems like ruby, emerald or sapphire. For me it was a little strange to see gems and paintings in one screen but they don’t hurt each other and the slot has an impressive look.

What makes the game unique is the Tumbling Reels feature which means if a winning combination is completed, the symbols of it disappear and all of the figures above them falling down one spot making a whole new arrangement and a chance for other line wins. It’s not just interesting and gives a fresh experience but basically player here get unlimited number of re-spins if the new table brings new wins, but practically at least in my case it never was more than 3 re-spins.

5 Da Vinci Diamonds emblems on a payline mean the Jackpot of the game and result a 5000 win. 3 Bonus symbols anywhere on the first 3 reels trigger 6 free spins that has a brand new paytable in use to calculate winnings and new set of paintings and gem symbols. There’s no multiplier value attached to this game section but the Tumbling Reels feature still intact here.

Of course the advantage of this feature is noticeable but I think it doesn’t mean that much what can be heard or promoted. Personally, I would prefer to have for example the Wild or free spins winnings multiplying ability than this tumbling thing. Anyway, this slot even with this extra is not an outstanding slot in the aspect of rewarding. The cold streak happens here too and the returns are also not awesome mainly because of just average payout policy. Strange, but somehow I felt the more I played with this game the more I felt that Da Vinci Diamonds maybe a popular game but overall it’s a little disappointment for me.
