In our latest interview, we had the pleasure of speaking to Anastasios Ioannidis, Affiliate Manager at ARRISE, an international services group that powers Pragmatic Play. We chatted about one of Pragmatic Play’s most recent titles, Sweet Bonanza 1000, and learned exclusive tidbits about several upcoming releases.

Pragmatic Play recently released Sweet Bonanza 1000, the latest addition to its “1000” slot series. Still, the original Sweet Bonanza slot remains popular to this day. What do you think makes it so beloved with players?
Sweet Bonanza is an incredible game. Having recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, this sweet-themed slot is just as popular today as it was back at launch. It’s one of Pragmatic Play’s stickiest games ever, and I think there are several reasons for that.
First, the tumbling and pays-anywhere mechanics have proved hugely popular with players across all demographics and markets. It also has an attractive theme and design, with a soundtrack to match.
And, of course, its win potential of up to 21,175x really hits the sweet spot, with random multiplier bombs of up to 100x dropping in the bonus game.
Let’s talk about the Sweet Bonanza sequel now. Could you highlight the technical features of Sweet Bonanza 1000? How does the new slot differ from the original?
There are several cosmetic updates, but the new game retains the same look and feel as the original, making the overall gameplay and audiovisual experience very similar. Sweet Bonanza 1000 also includes the same great mechanics as its predecessor, with all the same symbols able to form winning combinations on the 6x5 grid.

The key difference between Sweet Bonanza and Sweet Bonanza 1000 is that the latter features a bigger max multiplier. In the original, multiplier bombs hit with random values of between 2x and 100x in the bonus game. In Sweet Bonanza 1000, they range from 2x to 1,000x – and that pushes the win potential up to 25,000x!
What would you say is the biggest draw of Sweet Bonanza 1000? What are players going to love the most about this online slot?
As mentioned before, fans of the original can expect the same award-winning gameplay, but with even greater win potential. That’s what players will love about this game. In fact, since its release, Sweet Bonanza 1000 has performed brilliantly in terms of player acquisition and retention – it’s right up there with the likes of Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sugar Rush 1000.
We know Pragmatic Play never rests. Could you tease what’s currently cooking in the Pragmatic Play kitchen?
Pragmatic Play has some fantastic games coming out in the weeks and months ahead, starting with Bow of Artemis, which was just released at the end of July. Part of Pragmatic Play’s Greek Gods series, it includes two epic game features. In the base game, when a win occurs on a marked spot, it triggers one of six special spin features after tumbles. Players will also have their sights set on The Hunt feature, which offers up to five levels of enhanced gameplay.
Looking a little further ahead into September, Wisdom of Athena 1000 is destined to join the supercharged series, following the launch of another thrilling addition to the Big Bass franchise.
Pragmatic Play is also readying for take-off with High Flyer, the third title in its growing Crash game portfolio, while preparing for many more product launches across slots and live casino.
