Sinbad's Golden Voyage

I came across Sinbad’s Golden Voyage game quite by accident actually, whilst browsing Playtech’s platform for new games to try out. The moment I saw the game, the 6 reels and 7 rows format instinctively told me that it isn’t by Playtech, but by Ash Gaming, as I found out later on. Anyway, such games aren’t my favourite kind, have never been, and never will be either – don’t ask me why, but I simply cannot appreciate clustered-looking games!

Anyhow, I finally decided to give it a try, in spite of seeing how ridiculously low the win values of all the symbols are. The Wild and Scatter symbols are non-paying, whilst the highest symbol pays only 7x the total bet for getting 6 of them – yep, 6, not 5 – and that is extremely low! Worst of all, for so many reels and rows, there are only 164 paylines, when it should have at least 1076 paylines! Thankfully though, the minimum starting bet is only 0.10, and that’s why I took the risk of trying the game out in the first place. I don’t think I would have tried it out if at 0.20 or more starting bet – it simply wouldn’t be worth it – not enough win lines, plus almost no possibilities for big wins!

Is there anything interesting at all about this game? Well, yes – the Wild symbol would expand into a full Wild Reel every time, and all the other symbols are stacked too, except for the Scatter symbol, so the playscreen can indeed look pretty interesting with lots of same symbols on the reels. However, what you may win from all those same symbols may be very disappointing instead, to say the very least, purely because of the extremely low win values of the symbols! Yep, it got me very frustrated a few times, expecting much bigger wins, whenever several Wild Reels with stacked same symbols appeared on the reels.

In spite of offering that Colossal Leviathan Wild symbol during the free spins, I still couldn’t get anything better than a mere 67x total bet win. Those 7 free spins are definitely not enough, and there should have been some win multipliers as well, to create much bigger wins from those very low symbol values. All in all, a very disappointing game indeed, one which I certainly would not want to play again!
