This is one more game that has a 'fortune' in its name, as and usual, it has never brought any fortune to me. I have played Full Moon Fortunes many times before, over the last few years, and yet still not managing to get any decent good win of 100x or more. The word 'fortune' and 'lucky' seems to have the opposite effects on me, hehehe.
Full Moon Fortune is actually a game by Ash Gaming but using Playtech platform. Nothing unusual about that. Even Microgaming has many other games that aren't theirs either. This game first appeared some years ago, and I gave it a few tries to see how the game would play and pay. Needless to say, my plays were not successful, despite the game having good potentials, especially with its 25x multiplier. But looking at the paytable, one may get a different opinion, because the win values of the symbols are unexpectedly very low, unlike Playtech games. The Wild symbol, for example, pays only 500x the line bet for 5 of them, instead of the usual 10,000x, and the Scatter symbols don't pay anything at all, instead of 200x the total bet. So I was greatly disheartened when I looked at the paytable, knowing very well that good big wins would be very hard to come by.
However, the other features in the game make up for the shortcomings of the paytable. The Full Moon symbol, appearing only on reel 5 in the base game, would turn any Dr Blackwood symbol into a Multiplying Wild symbol, from 1x up to 5x. During the Free Spins game, however, Dr Blackwood symbols automatically becomes Extra Wilds, with a multiplying factor of 1x up to 25x, depending on the multiplier won during the pickings of the graveyard. Darn! How I wish I could have gotten at least a few times of this incredible 25x multiplier during my free spin plays. The best that I have gotten was only 9x, but that too came with low winning symbols, for a lowly poor payout!
Getting 3, 4 or 5 Tombstone Scatters awards the Night Of The Full Moon Free Spins feature, with an initial 1 free spin with 1x multiplier, 2 free spins with 2x multiplier, or 3 free spins with 3x multiplier respectively. Pick on the graveyards to reveal more free spins and multipliers, but getting a 'Collect' symbol would end the picking. Getting a 5x multiplier for the free spins would get Dr Blackwood Extra Wild symbols to pay from 5x up to 25x. Hmm, maybe one day soon I'll get this 5x multiplier for my free spins. I've only got the 3x free spins multiplier and Dr Blackwood's 3x multiplier, for a 9x multiplier win. So I really want that 5x and 5x multiplier! Hahaha.
It's a real pity that the value for the Wild symbol is only 500x the line bet. Multiply that with a 25x multiplier win would only give a 675x total bet win, which is rather disappointing indeed, considering that you are getting 5 Wilds on a payline with a 25x multiplier! A game like this should have at least 2000x best possible win to be really attractive for players to play again and again!
