Gamomat happens to be one of my top favourite providers, with 6 games being played frequently, and Roman Legion being my top favourite, including its Golden Nights (GDN) version. This GDN version is actually identical to the original game, but with an additional feature that can be activated or deactivated as required. I usually have this extra feature deactivated because I have tried playing it many times but not really liking it, so I prefer playing without it.
There are 4 Levels to choose from – Silver, Gold, Jewel and Super Jewel, with a starting minimum bet per spin of 0.25, 0.55, 1.05 and 2.05 respectively. The maximum win for each level is 2000 Euros (8000x), 5000 Euros (9090x), 10,000 Euros (9523x) and 50,000 Euros (24,390x). Whenever 3 Chests appear in any base game spin, the Golden Nights feature game would be activated, and each Chest would then open to show an empty content or with gold coins. Getting all 3 Chests with gold coins progresses the level one step higher, with a bigger winning amount, up to the top level to win the maximum prize for that level. If you want really big wins, then you need to play with the GDN feature activated.
For me, even the original game itself is more than satisfactory. It has a very good paytable, with the top symbol (the Soldier Wild symbol) paying 500x the bet for a 5-of-a-kind win. The other symbols pay from 200x down to 20x, which are also very good indeed. Try to find a similarly good paytable in any current newer game and you won’t find any! They have rock-bottom win values instead, and totally dependent on big win multipliers to give the big wins. I simply hate this! Hence, to me, a good game is one that uses a good paytable, not any other way around.
I have played probably over 100,000 spins on Roman Legion alone, mostly without that GDN feature, and my best win from it so far is an impressive 2456x. What bigger wins could anyone wish for, unless your preference is the 10,000x or more kind of maximum possible wins. Nah, not me. I’m not the greedy kind nor the big spender kind either, so games like this Roman Legion suit me perfectly!
Nothing to dislike really, except that this game can be quite brutally dead at times, not giving any good wins for many hundreds of spins, but then again, which other game doesn't, right?
