The slot has 5 reels and 3 rows with a min bet of 0.01 per spin if you play 1 line only but since it’s a 5 line slot you might as well play it with all 5 lines at a minimum of 0.05 per spin and that is what I would normally play it with 0.05 per spin, you can still win plenty on this stake setting.

The slot is like other Gamomat slots such as Great Warrior and comes with one feature game, and this is once again the 3 scatters on the first, middle and last reel to get into the fun part of the game, the free spins feature where you get 10 free spins with wilds being sticky. Now my time playing this slot wasn’t as good as Great Warrior but it was still good actually, profitable and with plenty of game time and would be worth visiting again for more.

I found that the slot only requires an average of 147 spins per feature and it gave me a good number of free spins features, 21 of them with the best being 480x bet. On average it has a good xbet of just under 91x.

When it comes to the base game, this too can produce some good wins and in my case it gave me a best base win of 151x. Not bad actually and these can come every now and then to help with the boosting of the balance.

The slot can be run on fast mode and autoplay and you can rapidly do many spins to try to trigger those 3 scatters to give you a feature at winning big. Sometimes I would use the autoplay and sometimes manual. Got features both ways.

Sometimes I would play around with different stakes, depending on how long it was since the previous feature and how it was playing around and did well on both the 0.05 and 0.10 levels, but not so much on the 0.15 level. Sometimes the features can pay very poorly, and I found it on some occasions it paid as low as 3x and another time 6x and also 9x twice, that’s what happens with high volatility slots, and when it comes to waiting for the feature it took the longest by taking 578 spins and another time 401 spins.

I first came to know about this Roman Legion game some years ago, when a friend started posting up his winning screenshots in the forum. It seemed like a good game to try out back then, so that I certainly did, but only to realise how badly the game play could actually be! My first ever play on the game was pretty disastrous! It’s never easy to get any good win on any 5 lines game, but those big wins are indeed possible to get, but only very rarely, and perhaps by only a lucky few.

Upon looking at the win values of all the symbols in the game, I was quite impressed by them. The Soldier is the Wild symbol, paying 500x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and is sticky during the free spins game. Obviously enough, the only way to win big is to get as many of these sticky Wilds during the free spins play, as the Wilds stay on for every remaining free spin left. The Horseman is the non-paying Scatter symbol, wish it wasn’t so though, appearing only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and serving to trigger 10 free spins without any win multiplier. More free spins also cannot be retriggered, so these are two sour points in the game that I don’t quite like. The other regular symbols pay from 200x down to 20x, which are very good indeed.

Playing with only 5 lines means that the minimum starting bet is only $0.05 per spin, which shouldn’t be a burden to small starting bankrolls. That may be true to a point, but the gameplay in Roman Legion sees a lot of two-scatter teases and plenty of very low payouts in the base game, which could eventually drain even a big starting bankroll! Needless to say, it could be very tedious to get a free spins feature game, and most of them wouldn’t even give good payouts.

Luck does play a very important role in any game, and on the day that I played this Roman Legion game again, luck was definitely on my side. The first two free spins feature games paid out very low wins of around 20x – 25x, but just as I was thinking of quitting the game, a third feature game suddenly came, giving a total of 9 sticky Wilds, and a whopping final win of 1660x! That came as a huge surprise to me of course, as once again I was saved by luck, just as I was about to quit my play session on it. However, I later came back to give the game one more try, and it went in the opposite direction instead, playing badly from the first spin right till the very end. Ah well, that’s how all high volatility game tends to play anyway, so I wasn’t shocked, nor disappointed.

After thousands of Spins it has never done anything good to me. Bonus is extremely hard to trigger and it teases u all the time. Funny to see how many times 2 scatters show up and not the 3th.
9/10 times this slot will take your money in record time. Managed to get 5 bonuses total on this. The bonus feature has sticky wilds that can pay a whopping 500x for a single wildline.
Worth to mention that all my bonuses has been under 10x win and with Max 2 wilds.

You can manage to get good base game hits on more than 100x stake but that is very rare. Almost all wins are 1x.

This slot drains your money as fast as hell. I made few thousand spins in this slot in long run and biggest win is x100 in base game. This slot has five lines and when you trigger three scatter on reel 1, 3, 5 you will get 10 freespins with sticky wilds. The bonus game is hard to trigger and always empty. In base game you win rare more than x1 your bet. Mostly you get nothing. Damn high volatility here.
