Mega Masks

Mega Masks is one strange game to say the least. It plays on a 5x5 grid of reels and rows, but yet has only 41 paylines. Why 41? No other game that I know of plays with this odd number of paylines, except for Zeus Vs Hades Gods Of War game by Pragmatic Play, which also has a 5x5 grid but with only 15 paylines (a ridiculous setup no doubt but it does have huge win capabilities)! Nope, don’t ever expect much from this Mega Masks game though, simply because it hasn’t got any full reel Expanded Wilds or even win multipliers. Those missing two items make a really sour point indeed!

All symbols are stacked, as a replacement for the absence of Wild symbols perhaps, but this isn’t much of a help anyway, not without any big win multipliers. There is also a randomly activated Linked Reels feature in the base game, but is usually only for 2 or 3 linked reels at any time. There is a possibility of all 5 Linked Reels, to award the biggest 5x5 Mega Symbol in the game, but this is only possible during a free spins feature game.

How to win that? During the 10 free spins (no retriggering possibility though), Fireflies may appear and clear one or more of the vertical vine artifacts of the reels. Clearing all 5 would merged the two reels into one linked reel. Nonetheless, trying to clear all the artifacts to merge all 5 reels would be more of an impossible mission, to say the least, but it would give the best wins in the game. Nah, don’t hope too much for that to happen, simply because those stupid Fireflies may appear but not clear any artifacts at all, and that sucks!

I’ve played this Mega Masks game a few times already but have yet to get a good game play from it. Most of the time it didn’t play good enough, was not exciting enough, and of course, it didn’t give good wins either, so it isn’t a game that I could appreciate or like.

Megamask is one of the latest releases from Relax gaming. With 5 reels and 6 high rows this slot looks like it has the possible potential but from my game play, I don’t feel like I will hit anything soon, unless I am one of the lucky ones. It looks like it has many paylines and features some extra randoms features during spins as well as free spins feature.

This Aztec theme slot looks like it set in the backdrop of a jungle with giant hands hold on the reels. You get symbols on the reels in forms of crystals, masks and bonus symbols. On any random spin, giant masks can fill two or more reels and it will either merge reels together becoming huge block symbols for bigger wins. You can add extra coins to your bet for extra features to kick in more often, however I have noticed when you have this enabled as this also enabled features during free spins, triggering the free spins is more difficult as well. Wild is pretty active and also come in stacked form as well.

Landing bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 activated the mega symbol free spins feature. During the feature fireflies will be launched to clear the artifacts on the vines which separate each of the reels. Once five artifacts has been removed or cleared from that vine, the two adjacent reels will merge. When merging reels, 2 extra spins are awarded, once all reels are unlocked, you get giant block symbols of 5x3 which can land massive wins.

I must say I am not impressed by this slot, as Relax gaming really took a blow with this slot. Its too hard to bonus and the features do not come often. Once you pay for the features to be more regular, then free spins take forever. I wish this slot had a buy feature and I think you have the potential to hit x1000 in this slot, but that will never happen often like your other new TNT tumble, snake arena etc. I hope the next release is better. Once thing I must say is this slot can keep a steady balance for most times though.
