Mayan Riches is a video slot game from IGT that I gladly play from time to time. I think that there is something in these slots that use ancient civilizations as its main theme. This is definitely not the first slot of this kind that I have played but this one has its own charm that lures me back every time. I love the soundtrack that gives the vibe like you are hearing distant sounds and it is also very relaxing. I have played this game many times and I had some very successful sessions but also some that I would rather forget.

Mayan Riches, with a very small balance on my e wallet and in a bad mood I wanted to try some new game and I saw it for the first time in Mr.Green Casino. When I saw it was a 40 payline slot I imagined myself with a winning combination and my very poor balance. Even though I knew I couldn't expect much all games that have for a theme or the name Mayan are very attractive for me. So was this one.

I lowered my bet and only played on 20 paylines. To be honest I wasn't amazed with the symbols but it doesn't matter this game bring excitement in your stomach. The wild symbol is the pyramid which come in strings and replaces all other symbols except the bonus symbol. When I saw that 3 bonus symbols on the central 3 reels gave only 5 free spins and 2 x total bet I was really disappointed. The pyramid symbol pays the most after that the Mayan warrior and the female. The background sound seems to have a very calming effect on me and at the same time brings excitement.

The bad side about this game is that it doesn't have a classic bonus round which are my favorite and it doesn't even have multipliers or expanding wild symbols. IGT software is new to me. 3 of a kind pays 50 coins, 4 of a kind 200 and 5 of a kind 1000 coins, really nothing special. While I was playing I was hoping for a bonus round but nothing. Unfortunately, all of the positive attributes I had at this game were already used up because what sometimes happens with promising appearance happened here too, namely, a bad quality game segment was associated with it. Maybe I should use terrible word instead of bad because it’s really is. The best 5 of a kind win with Pyramids only rewards players with just 1000 times of line bet and needless to say how poor it is but the situation is equally awful when looking at the function symbols for example the Bonus emblem appears only on the 3 middle reels and all what it can do is to double the total stake and award 5 free spins. During extra games nothing’s changing and it really works as normal game without added plus function, except there we don’t have to place bets. Really, there’s no multiplier, no expanding wilds or any little add-ons which the player can trust to bring some nice returns. The Wild is just a simple substituting symbol also without any attribute.

I think for a modern slot it’s unacceptable to have such feature qualities like we can see at Mayan Riches and I don’t understand what IGT thought when released this slot in this format. It’s very obvious the game can’t be competitive with others and how could it attract players with such horrible features and payouts and without any potential. In my opinion it’s one of the worst when the players can’t feel to be success at a slot and when a game is not promising in game segment it’s always a very bad sign. I’m really sorry for the interface because I think it would deserve much, much better ‘other part’ and it’s like a sin to waste such great looking screen for a game section like this.
