Fortune Charm

Here is one wonderful game from Red Tiger, namely Fortune Charm, that plays with 243 ways to win, yet needing only $0.10 bet per spin! All other similar games would require a minimum of $0.30, so I was very surprised but happy to have found this game, hehehe.

Okay, so the paytable and the win values of all the symbols in the game aren’t really up to my high expectations, the values of which being on the very low to extremely low side, but I find that quite acceptable for a 243 ways game, but not for any Megaways game. Why? Because Megaways games hardly ever pay on many lines, and there are many more symbols on the reels, so they actually would need higher win values to be at par or better than lesser lines games. Nah, game providers are more concerned about their profits, so they always go for sea-bottom values. Less for players, more for them.

However, after playing on Fortune Charm, I realised that some things aren’t really up to scratch. The Wild symbols can only appear from Fortune Charm Boxes that award random mystery symbols when they appear on the reels, so most spins would actually be without any Wild symbol in play at all. Multipliers can only appear on these Wild symbols, but the Wild symbols do not always carry a multiplier, so that’s not so good as well. One more thing that strikes me as rather odd is the random number of free spins that can be won, from a mere 5, up to 30. Now, 30 free spins is simply wonderful, but 5 free spins without a fixed multiplier, and with no win guarantee either, is really a no-no. Those 5 free spins could literally end up paying nothing at all!

Having said that, there is a good thing in the free spins feature game though. The Fortune Charm Boxes can randomly appear at any time, in one, twos or even threes, and each one remains on the reels for the remainder of the free spins. Yes, they are sticky, but they move around randomly at every spin, so the more Boxes that appear, the better the chances of getting big wins, because these Boxes can award Multiplier Wilds randomly.

My one and only session on this game turned out to be a very good one indeed. The first free spins feature game took less than 200 spins to come. From a spin on the Wheel, it gave 30 free spins! And from that 30 free spins, I eventually had 6 Boxes on the reels for the last few spins, each Box moving around on each spin, awarding Wilds, Multiplier Wilds and regular symbols, and finally giving a whopping 534x win! Too bad that win was on a $0.10 bet, but beggars can’t really be choosers can they? Hahaha. Fortune Charm is probably one of the best games from Red Tiger, but I’m not an expert on Red Tiger games as yet, so do take my words with a pinch of salt, hehehe.
