Fairytale Legends: Hansel & Gretel Slot NetEnt

Fairytale Legends: Hansel & Gretel is 5 reels and 10 pay-lines video slot powered by Net Entertainment software. This slot is inspired with one of our favorite childhood stories – Hansel and Gretel. Slot design is a true artistry and will bring back all the childhood memories. The reels are transparent and set against night landscape, and the entire gameplay is followed with magical sound effects. Give this slot a spin here for free or visit any of the NetEnt Casinos if you wish to play for real money.

Before you join these two kids on their adventure, you need to set your bets. Coin denominations go from 0.01 to 2, and can be set by clicking "Coin Value +/-" section. With "Level +/-" you can set the number of coins per line. By clicking on "Max Bet" you will set the maximum bet available. "Rubin" is the spin button and it will set the reels in motions, whereas "Autoplay" will turn the reels automatically for a chosen number of times without interruption.

Paved Brick road is the Wild symbol in the game and it can substitute for all the symbols in the game and it appears stacked on reels 2 and 4 in the main game and additionally on reels 1 and 5 during the Stacked Wild re-spin. Stacked Wild Re-spin will be awarded each time you get Stacked Wild to cover the entire reel.

Game has 3 features which are activated randomly during the main game. These 3 features are: Fairy Wonder Spin, Fairy Surprise and Fairy Wild Spin.

During Fairy Wonder Spins a cluster of 5 to 9 Logo Symbols appear as an overlay on the reels for the duration of one spin.

When Fairy Surprise feature gets activated it will be in a case of no win situation during the main game. A symbol is randomly selected from the symbols on the reels after the spin. Other symbols, starting from the low win symbols, will turn into the selected symbol until a win is awarded.

In the Fairy Wild Spin feature, 2 full stacks of Wild symbols can randomly appear on reels 1, 2, 4, and 5 during the spin. After the reels stop, and the wins have been paid out, a Stacked Wild Re-Spin is awarded.

Red Chest is the Bonus feature and it appears only on reels 1, 3 and 5. When you land 3 of these during the main game, you will activate the bonus feature. There are 3 different bonus features to choose from: Candy House, Free Spins and Coin Win.

In the Candy House feature you will get 3 picks and you will have to choose out of 15 items. Each item equals a certain multiplier. After you pick 3 multipliers you will get to choose to either receive the average value of the 3 multipliers or to pick one out of those 3 previously chosen ones.

In the Free Spins feature, you will be awarded with 10 spins and if the Coin Win is won, you will be awarded with con win, which is equal to the current bet multiplied by 15.

The Fairytale Legends - Hansel & Gretel video slot by NetEnt Software, with 5 reels/10 PaylinesThe famous story of two children who have been left in the forest by their parents, only to come across an amazing candy cabin…

A Low-Mid Variance slot with Low-Paytable. Take note, that you don’t have to start your winning combinations from the first reel in order to earn prizes. Any 3 in-row or longer combination will do, regardless of where it starts on a Payline. So having the same symbols consecutively is the only thing that matters.

When NetEnt released Fairytale Legends: Red Riding Hood, I did say that the game was meant for kids, but only adults are allowed to play it. Well, that game may not have worked well for NetEnt, meaning, it didn't bring in the expected revenues, so NetEnt released a second similar game, hoping to reap in more. The way I see it, this is just another 'second helping' for hungry NetEnt, to try and get more revenues in. Will it work? Hmm, better not ask me, because my answer may not be nice at all! Hahaha.

This game plays the same way as that Red Riding Hood game does, with fixed 10 paylines, paying both ways, and including center ways too. The Wild symbols don't pay anything, the Bonus symbols don't pay anything, and you'd be damn lucky to get anything! Hahaha. Am I exaggerating? Hmm, play the game and see it for yourself! The payouts rely entirely on several feature games, either randomly activated in the base game, of chosen from one of those Bonus Chest symbols. Whichever you pick, the outcome would have been predetermined, so no need to be so choosy at all - simply click on one item and hope for the best. If you're lucky, you'd get a good win, if not, that's the way it's meant to be! Hehehe.

All symbols are stacked, but the Stacked Wild symbols only appear on reels 2 and 4, and additionally on reels 1 and 5 during the Respins feature. Getting the Stacked Wild symbols on reels 2 and 4 activates the Respins feature, with the 2 Stacked Wild reels locked, but this feature usually gives only small wins, and no other feature games can be activated during this Respins feature either. Argh! There are 3 types of randomly activated Fairy features in the base game - the Fairy Wonder Spin, the Fairy Surprise and the Fairy Wild Spin. The first type awards a cluster of 5 to 9 logo symbols randomly on 3 reels, the second type awards a transformation of lower symbols into one selected symbol, and the third type awards the Stacked Wild Respins.

The Chest is the Bonus symbol, appearing only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and getting all 3 of them awards a Bonus game. Pick one of the Chests to reveal either the Candy House Bonus, Free Spins or Coin Win. In the Candy House Bonus game, pick 3 out of the 15 candies to reveal multipliers, the average of the 3 multipliers then becoming the awarding multiplier for the staked amount. Alternatively, you can choose 1 of the 3 chosen candies to try and get that highest multiplier of the 3. In the Free Spins game, 10 free spins is awarded, and each appearing Bonus symbol adds 2 more free spins. Getting 3 Bonus symbols retrigger the Free Spins game. The Coin Win awards an instant cash prize of 15x the staked amount.

As for the other symbols in the game, the Logo pays 400x, Hansel and Gretel each pays 100x, and all the other symbols pay a flat 40x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. 5 Logo symbols only pay 40x the total bet, and the 2 kids pay only 10x the total bet each, making this paytable very low for any 10 paylines game. I'm more inclined to rate it as extremely low!

Well, I could never make any decent wins from the game Red Riding Hood, although I did get one or 2 reasonable wins of below 50x my bet amount, but with these 2 kids, I couldn't even get anything above 25x my bet amount! The 2 games may look identical, but they certainly do not pay out the same way. Hansel & Gretel are more stingy in every sense, and that's why I said it's like a 'second helping' for NetEnt to try and get more revenue for themselves! Certainly not a game for me, and almost all of NetEnt games have now fallen way way behind in terms of popularity for me. I'll be staying away for as long as their games play and pay the way they do now!

Who doesn't like candy!? Well, I like them but not the hard ones.

Last year, NetEnt released a very interesting game about a fairytale legend called Red Riding Hood. This game is not their first game based on a fairytale. Jack and the Beanstalk was one of their first and the majority of us love this game, including me. Excalibur is also one of the oldest NetEnt game but I'd prefer Jack and the Beanstalk over that one. However, just a few months ago, NetEnt released another game based on fairytale legend and this one is about a sibling got lost in the woods.

Hansel and Gretel are siblings and to make the story short, they got lost in the woods, found a house made of candy, got captured by the witch, fed till they got fat and you know how the story went from this on. Like NetEnt's Red Riding Hood, the game has a cartoonish style, it's actually kid-friendly. No scary witch, very addictive sound and music. The difference between Red Riding Hood and Hansel & Gretel is...Well, almost everything except the chest. Hansel & Gretel has 10 paylines and pays from left to right, right to left and also midways.

Like always, when a new game will be released soon or is just released, casinos promoting it like crazy. From a small no deposit free spins to a large sum of free spins on a deposit. Some of them offered a 100 free spins on a small deposit of €10. That sounds very tempting and generous but that's why it's wise to check the game first, winning more information regarding this new game before you decide to claim the offer otherwise you could be disappointed by it.

In my experience, the game is not as good as it should be or as I expected. Low payouts, small paylines and bonus feature is hard to trigger. I've tried the game numerous times and I failed to win a 100x bet. The highest win I ever won was a little bit above 90x bet and after that, it's impossible to win big. Fairytale logo doesn't appear often but, maybe 100 to 1 it appears.

Do I like this one? Well, not exactly. It's a nice game if you just want to kill time with small amount of money but it's not a great game to thickens your wallet.

The game payouts are very disappointing, bonus features are also hard to triggered and they are also not as interesting as it's predecessor Red Riding Hood.
