Battle Tanks

I accidentally came across this game by Evoplay Entertainment, got curious about it, so I peeked into the game to get more info. The paytable got me excited, as it resembles quite a lot like my favorite Playtech games of Safari Heat and Panther Moon, although this Battle Tanks game play with only 9 lines instead of 15 lines.
Nonetheless, it offers the same 15 free spins with a 3x win multiplier, and the free spins can be retriggered as well, and that is important to me.

The biggest difference lie in the Wild symbol, whereby in Battle Tanks, it is a non-paying symbol, only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5, and doesn’t double wins with it. This is very disappointing, because wins would not be doubled with a Wild symbol, and there wouldn’t be any chance of getting 5 Wild symbols during the free spins either, unlike in Safari Heat or Panther Moon. Also, playing with only 9 lines reduces the chances of getting wins by quite a lot, so this is one more unfavorable aspect in this game. In other words, Battle Tanks simply cannot pay as good as the two Playtech games.

However, the other symbols in the game do have excellent win values, with the top paying symbol paying 450x, and the others down to 12x. Pity there’s no doubling of wins, otherwise this would make them up with the best in win values! The free spins game can be retriggered, but in actual play, as I have found out after several sessions of play, a retrigger is quite a rare occurrence, and it doesn’t offer many retriggers either. I have only managed to get one retrigger so far, nothing more, so that makes for one more big difference between the two Playtech games.

Nonetheless, the game can play and pay not too badly, although the 3 Scatters are rather hard to get, and getting the 3 Bonus symbols being easier. In the Bonus game, there are 5 tanks to be shot down, each tank paying a win, but one tank would end the game without giving any win. I have gotten quite a number of these Bonus games, but most paid less than 10x, so they don’t really give any good wins. The bigger wins are definitely from the free spins game, with its 3x multiplier and its retriggering possibility.

Still, I quite enjoy playing this Battle Tanks game, I like the battle scenario background, but I wish Evoplay would make better paying games in the future. Battle Tanks show a good promise, but lacks the critical punches! Hahaha.
