I’m not a fan of Evoplay and I’ve never played any of their games, as far as I can remember. Someone said that Evo games can be pretty good, so one day, I decided to give Animal Quest a first try. Why this game? Simply because it plays with a minimal bet of only $0.10 per spin, so that suits my very small budget quite nicely. Nowadays, I avoid playing any game that requires bigger starting bets than $0.20 per spin. Not that I don’t like it, I just cannot afford it anymore.
Animal Quest plays with 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 lines. If the starting bet was $0.40, I would have immediately closed the game! Hahaha. The game is quite nicely presented actually, having colourful animal cartoon symbols, both in regular and big sizes, and the non-paying Wild symbol is the bright Green-eyed icon. The Scatter symbol is also non-paying unfortunately, serving only to trigger the free spins feature game when appearing with a Wild symbol anywhere on the reels. All the other regular symbols in the game have very low win values of 20x total bet down to 1.5x, but these values are really not surprising in this current iGaming market conditions.
Getting a 3x2 size big symbol, with at least one more same symbol on any winning line, would award 1 Respin, and these symbols become sticky. The respin would continue for as long as new same symbols land in winning positions. During the free spins feature game, the scenario changes, slightly for the better. There would be 4 types of 3x2 big Gold animal symbols, all acting as a Wild symbol with a multiplier of 2x up to 5x, depending on the animal symbol. If a winning line doesn’t include a Gold symbol, the win would not be multiplied. So the real implication is that in order to get any decent win, a winning combination must include at least one Gold Wild symbol, but this does not occur often enough to be satisfactory.
In the few free spins games that I had gotten during my play session, each game paid a lousy win of either 1x, 4x or 24x, except for one game which paid a decent 95x win. Perhaps it may be possible to get wins of over 200x, but I certainly won’t be trying to get them. One play is enough for me, because this Animal Quest game simply do not have the big wins potentials!
