Find out what really happens when the sun sets in After Night Falls. This 3D video slot from Betsoft takes you into the dark streets of the city where big winnings can be lurking around any corner. You can try After Night Falls for free on this page, or visit any of the Betsoft casinos we've listed below to play for real money.
Start the game by choosing how much you want to play. Change your bet denomination with the “Choose Coin” button on the bottom-left. Then, set the amount you would like to bet on each line with the “Bet Per Line” panel. Because of a special bonus feature, we highly recommend playing all 30 lines – however, you can reduce the number of active paylines with the “Paylines” panel. Begin playing with the “Spin” button, or play with all lines and 5 coins per line with “Max Bet Spin”.
When the game starts, the symbols will fall down the reels and hopefully match up from left-to-right. Winning combinations earn you the amounts shown in the After Night Falls paytable. If you are playing all 30 lines and get a full reel of one symbol, you'll win an instant cash bonus equal to 3x the amount of that symbol's 3-of-a-kind combination. They will then merge and allow 2 more symbols to fall from the top.
After Night Falls offers 2 free spin features. The first is a free spin round that can be initiated with 3 or more Scatter symbols. All wins in the free spins are multiplied by up to 10x. If you get a Magnifying Glass symbol anywhere on the reels, it will act as a Moving Wild and you will initiate a free spin round. For each spin, the Magnifying Glass will move one reel to the left until it falls off, ending the round.
There are also 2 interactive bonus features. Get 3 or more Criminal symbols to help the criminal steal from an apartment. You can catch the criminal in the Investigate bonus, initiated with 3 or more Granny symbols. In this feature, you act as the detective. Find clues, collect evidence, and earn a nice sum of cash for your work.

After night falls, and everyone has fallen asleep, the thief comes out to play! Well, not everyone is asleep though, because that old granny never seems to go to sleep. She's always walking up and down in her apartment, and we can see her walking pass by the window every few seconds. My, my, what an active granny eh! Meanwhile, what the heck is the detective doing looking into that rubbish container anyway? If you don't already know, he likes to look for clues in all the wrong places, and that's what he does best! Hmm. What's more, imagine a detective not ever noticing the thief appearing and disappearing right before his eyes every now and then. Well, that how this detective is - defective! Hahaha.
Thankfully, this game After Night Falls isn't defective at all. It has very nice 3D graphics and very nice animations, which should delight any player. The game plays with 30 paylines, which are selectable, I like this, but plays with a minimum starting bet of 0.60 per spin, which is higher than usual, so some players may find this a deterrent. The Magnifying Glass is the Wild symbol in the game. It doesn't pay anything for itself, it doesn't double wins with it, and substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. Whenever it appears on any reel, it triggers the Moving Wild Free Spin feature, and moves one position to the left on each free spin, until it goes off after reaching the first reel. The Hand is the Scatter symbol, paying 60x the line bet for getting 2 of them, but doesn't pay anything for getting 3, 4 or 5 of them, except to trigger 10, 15 or 25 free spins with a random multiplier of 2x up to 10x with every free spin. More free spins cannot be retriggered, because the Scatter symbol doesn't come into play during the free spins.
The Granny is the Bonus symbol, also not paying anything for herself, and getting 3 of her on reels 1, 3 and 5 triggers the Bonus Round. Pick clues in the Granny's apartment to win cash prizes. The Criminal is also another Bonus symbol, no payout as the Granny symbol, and getting 3 or more of him triggers the '5 Rooms Pick Me' feature game. Keep picking one door at a time to win cash prizes, until the 'Collect' icon appears, which ends the game. Then there is also the Stacked Collapsing Wins feature, whereby any fully stacked symbol gets a 3-symbol win payout, the 3 symbols then collapses into one symbol, and 2 new symbols would drop into the vacated positions. This feature is only available when playing with the full 30 paylines. As for the other symbols, the Detective pays 250x, the Cat pays 150x, the Jewellery Box pays 100x, and the rest pay from 50x to 25x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. The paytable is actually an extremely low one, but the extra features in the game acts as some consolation.
I've played this game many times over the years, but on an irregular basis. I've gotten all the features available, from the Free Spins game, to the Moving Wild, and to the 2 Bonus games. However, I must say that the payouts in the base game are generally very low indeed, so the bigger wins can only be achieved during the free spins game, with that 2x - 10x multiplier for each and every free spin. Nonetheless, I haven't won anything really good on this game, with 66x the total bet as my best score so far. Quite disappointing really.
