Book of Romeo and Julia Golden Nights

A slot from Gamomat and has that famous romantic tragedy theme of Romeo and Juliet but in this case it is with Julia and not Juliet for some reason. You get the 5 reels, 3 rows, and a choice between 5 fixed paylines and 10 fixed paylines. You can go as low as 0.05 per spin if you go with the 5 liner option. The low rollers will love that.

The title tells you this is another book game just like every other, this time the free spins start with exactly 10 free spins, no matter if you get more than 3 scatters, but there is a little 200x bonus for the time that you get 5 scatter triggers, good news is that you can retrigger the free spins and get another 10 spins and another and another. Every book is mostly the same with a random symbol chosen to be the special expanding symbol, this book slot is like that too.

The top symbol is Julia, and she gives you 1000x your bet, while Romeo only gets to pay out 400x your bet. Other symbols are the dagger and a letter and the non premiums are there too the card symbols.

Luckily for me the session I had on this slot the slot gave me an early feature and that was in just 65 spins and then paid 41x, wanted to see more than that but at least it showed up early. I know there are the side bets of the Golden Nights, which is a extra bet you gotta do if you want to have the chance of triggering those random bonuses, you could for say play on 0.05 and pay the 2.00 side bet and have a chance to win 50,000 super jewel jackpot.

The slot at least does come with advanced autoplay with all the settings you would ever want from it, setting how many spins you want to play and when the balance increases or decreases and if you get a win you can have it stop on that too or just on the features. Besides that you also have the gamble feature like on every Gamomat slot to game your base wins and the features too depending on what size they reach.

The slot’s max RTP is 96.12% and it was one of the max RTP gamomat slots at my chosen casino to play.

The slot is missing some things like the base game music, bonus buy options, ante bets, to make it quicker to trigger a feature. You will get lots of dead spins as with most Gamomat slots, as most of the fun is loaded into the features.

If you are discerning enough, you may have noticed that a few games from Gamomat has a special additional feature included in them, called Golden Nights. There are 4 levels in this feature, each higher level costing more bet per spin, with the top 4th level needing 30 cents bet per spin instead of the standard 10 cents. Some casinos have 20 cents as the minimum starting bet, so making it 60 cents per spin in order to activate the highest level of Golden Nights feature game.

What’s so special about this Golden Nights feature you may be asking. Well, this feature can be randomly activated during base game play, and you get three Chests to start off the feature. Each Chest would reveal a number and this number would fill the collection meter on the right hand side of the play area. There are seven levels in the meter, each level awarding a prize, from the lowest 5x to the highest 50,000x the stake amount.

However, take note though, that each Chest may not reveal a number, so that would end the feature game! This can be very frustrating and disappointing indeed, as I later found out myself! How so? Well, I played with the Golden Nights feature activated, it came randomly during one of my non-paying spins, and the three Chests appeared on a separate play screen. Each Chest opened by itself, but I got one empty Chest instead, so I ended up getting nothing at all – not a single cent win! All those spins at 30 cents each got wasted for nothing, and with that, I de-activated the Golden Nights feature and continued playing on the basic game itself.

Playing the basic game was actually not much different from the standard ‘Book Of Romeo And Julia’ game, in the sense that it was still as hard to trigger the free spins game. After doing over 200 spins, I finally got one free spins feature game, but it didn’t pay well enough to satisfy me. The win was just 67x my stake amount, lower than what I had gotten in the other game, so I decided not to play the game further, expecting more disappointing results if I carry on playing.

I actually dislike that Golden Nights feature! It doesn’t pay all the time, and the lower levels have low cash prizes as well, so it’s not really worth spending extra per spin just to get some extra small wins. Yeah sure, the top prize may be a grand 50,000x win, but at what cost would that take? It most probably would also be once-in-a-lifetime occurrence, but if that top prize is your dream, then go ahead and take the risk. I definitely would never activate it ever again!

The 'Book of Romeo And - Julia Golden Nights Bonus' is a 5 Reel video slot upon 10 Paylines which developed by Gamomat Software. Basically this slot is an extension to its predecessor 'Romeo & Julia'. In other words, everything has remained the same, regarding the Paytable/Gameplay/Design.

The only difference is, that includes a Jackpot feature from the 'Golden Nights Jackpot Series which is common across Gamomat slots. An attractive Jackpot series in my opinion - with a potential up to 25.000x total bet. Once you trigger the Feature - You will be able to claim one of the following Jackpot Levels: Iron/Copper/Bronze/Silver/Gold/Jewel/Super Jewel.

The Jewel and Super Jewel levels on the Thermometer, rewarding 10.000 and 50.000 Euro respectively.
